Hi...
I'm Jude. It's nice to meet you all...
I've been Poi-ing for a week and have discovered why it's so compulsive - so I thought I'd talk to some similarly enthused people. I'm presently working with a Portuguese medieval circus which is pretty cool and how I learned - they call it "fitas" or something when it's practice, and "courens" when it's chains here and already have some good bruises and burns. Normally, though, I live in Glasgow and will be back in three months - I never even knew anything this cool existed before!
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know you all! If anyone's in the Glasgow area and fancies practicing some time in August, then that'd be cool...

I'm not usually an artist - normally I'm a doctor but am taking six months out to travel and just ran into this circus by accident.

....kind of practical for a person, who plays with fire or at least knows people who play with fire..., but what kind of doctor, caus when youre a vet you wouldnt be such a great help for us human beings....

There is a small but friendly Poi gathering at the Glasgow Juggling Club - Wednesday nights, 7:30 till 9:30 - and your first times free!! Its on Kelborne Drive - just off Queen Margaret Drive. (Theres a web site too). We also try to meet in Kelvingrove on sunday afternoons but that seems fairly hit or miss. Head down on wednesdays... Its lots of fun and we go to the pub after x

Hi. I am poi spinner from Glasgow. there is few of us but we haven't cheeked out any of the clubs yet. in general we spin in town, parks or school/college. I know that both Glasgow and strathclyd universities have spinning clubs. I have no idea when u posted this and if it is dead i apologized. i haven't been on here for at least a year.
