If your scared of clowns (eventhough im a really really nice and freindly and not dangerous at all) then maybe i could run a sideshow peting zoo. bunnys, puppies, baby elephants, that sort of thing. maybe....

I'm in the really real circus too. biggrin
I can heckle the ringleader between spots when we get one as well as twirl staff, juggle juggle * and spin poi, albeit all three quite limitedly, I can also do closeup magic (sideshows good, fifty feet from the audience bad), clowning and other character work and I'm learning to unicycle, along with the rest of it.
I wonder if Ilsanya's seen this thread yet.
*I love circus graemlins.

I just signed up, paid (well, got mum to pay) and started going to training, I'm not sure if there were any auditions or not. If there are other people around where you are who are similarly crazy you can put together your own troupe (two of the best circusses [cricuii?] I've ever seen got together that way or in a way like that, and a couple of dancers, an extremely bendy contortionist and me are trying to find pracice time together to do a busking thing like that too. When we get a name I'll let you know), though larger equipment can be a problem for the hard of spending then. If there's a circus near where you are just ask them if you can join, there might be an audition involved but unless you're doing skillbased work I've not met anyone here yet who wouldn't make an ace performer on personality very nearly alone. You can also sign up to be a bit of background colour in one of Cirque du Soleil's touring shows against the chance that they go near where you are on their website, too.

Gee, that felt serious. Now I want to be extra silly to shake off the feeling of sensibility. Flibby enk!
