Hello im new here, I just wanted to start off trying to meet people and maybe make some friends.
Here is a little about myself:
Im 18 years old, female, living in the US Washington Dc area, and have been doing poi for about 7 months now.

anyway i just learned about this site and is super cool! i wish i knew about it a long time ago. i pretty much tought myself everything i know right now from watching people glow string at raves or one in a rare while actuall poi on the beach or park. So as you can imagine i have a pretty .. unique style

verry good thanks, im trying my hardest to learn some simple wraps right now but im having such a hard time *blushes* im thinking mayne i should try some kind of string the ball chain i use now might be to blame for all the trouble

I too have been spinning for about 8 months now. I'm one of the few people on here from western canada - but that doesn't mean there aren't a few around here - I've got my sister, my roommates, and some of the kids I coach skiing to addicted to poi - yeah for me...

...it's safe to say that relationships inspired by the art of poi are not necessarily 'poi'fect...!

re simple wraps, I've found that the easiest one to do is an arm wrap, with chains, incorporated into a 5 beat weave. Like instead of your wrists going over each other, let the chain hit your arm instead. Not sure how much sense that makes though..

my user name came from when i first did poi in front of my parents, my step mom was confused and didnt like it and called it a demon's dance
so yeah not many people i know have ever hurd of poi
i really want to get a video clip up so people can watch and give me feed back and tips, do many people do that?
