Moon Letter

Autumn 2005

Hey gorgeous moonfesties.:* biggrin

Wow, it’s Autumn again! That was quick! Time’s fun when you’re having flies!.:* hmmm I think I’ve been kissing too many frogs…. kiss No frog princes as of yet though… ubblove Speaking of fairytale magic, this next Moon Fest, 26th March, is in Pixie theme, and most definitely calls for Fancy Dress … So pull out those pixie wings and dust of your wand… wear a tiara …or put bells on your boots! peace Elves, Goblins, Faeries, fire sprites....and frog princes also most welcome!!! Bring a pixie treasure to place around the fairy circle, bring instruments, and drums for a massive jam and dance under the full moon..:* Bring fire toys, weavesmiley fuel and safety equipment and fire dance on the beach or Glow gear and your dancing body for a frolic under the stars.:*

The Easter break is full of fun things to do on the bay side of Brisbane. The BlueWater Festival kicks off on Thursday night (24th March) with *Bayfire* starting from around dusk with the Lantern Parade, followed by the spectacular fire Show brought to you by :*Over the Moon*:. Featuring a beautiful Full Moon Goddess, Triple Goddess Moon Maidens, Moon Consorts, Dream Weavers, Stardust Sprites and so much more spark and magic.:* Live Music playing on the main stage throughout the night, as well as market stalls and kids carnival rides, topped off with fire works off the Jetty. All this in the beautiful setting of Shorncliffe’s foreshore, Moora Park, Brisbane’s north-side. Then on Friday 25th March, the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race starts from the Shorncliffe Pier… Featuring market stalls, carnival rides, .:*Over the Moon*:. Stilt Walkers and roving performers…and of corse lots and lots of boats…heh ….And then of corse it’s the Pixie Moonfest on Saturday 26th March… come on down a little earlier for a play and picnic in the park, bring your toys weavesmiley and instruments for a play, juggle, juggle jam, sun dance…. And then welcome the moon as she rises over the ocean at dusk.:*

The Next few Dates for Autumn Moonfest are…

*:.Pixie Fancy Dress Fest Sat, 26th March… (mentioned above, first paragraph) ubbangel angel angelblue

*:.Masquerade Moonfest, Sun 24th April… The Full Moon will be eclipsing from 7:30pm ‘till 8:20pm EST …My Moon Diary tells me we should be able to see this from New Zealand, and the East Coast of Australia. As the moon eclipses, wearing a mask of shadow, I feel it would be quite appropriate for us to wear masks as well, so this Moon Fest will be Masquerade… So if you don’t already have a fancy mask to wear, grab a paper plate, cut some eye holes, glue a bit of macaroni, feathers and glitter on and walla! I want to see *everyone* wearing masks!.:* YAY peace

*:.Sagittarian MoonFest Tuesday 24th May… Peter Pan playful energy… Lost boys and Tinkerbell… bring all your toys, fire gear, instruments, drums, dancing bodies, and free spirit.:* bounce ubbrollsmile bounce

Fairy Elf Goblin Fest, Sunday 1st May, Featuring LothLorian and Mr ToothFaery Marchello… *:….How Lush! I’m guessing it’ll be up Yandina kind of way… contact Jason for more info Ph: 5441 7031

.:*Over the Moon*:. Incorporating Phoenix Fire Tribe, has now got a Web sight up and running… Check it out at www.phoenixfiretribe.com There is a variety of different options to suit your event, check out the beautiful imagery and videos to get an idea of the entertainment .:*Over the Moon*:. provides…:::*

Hope to see your gorgeous faces over the Easter brake.:*

Loads of love and stardust kisses.:*

Yeah, nice one Puk!! I really enjoyed to fire whips!

The whole Moonfest was lovely. Thanks Elke ubblove

Eek, I'm sorry to hear about Burleigh. I was down at a fire dance competition there last year and the fire safety was just appalling and no one seemed to care. I thought it was just a one off bad night. And a super shame if there's drunks and other fools.

It's such a precious thing to be able to have an open event and feel safe. I guess it's partly vigilance and the caring presence of people who care about each other and the event.

And Jai, 'Yeah, yay' come on up! It's Tuesday 24th. Here's a link to the train timetable if you don't get a lift.

https://qroti.com/cgi/tvm.pl?ORIG=Robina&...day+to+Thursday

The station area looks very suburban streety.. just ask someone where the pub is, then go to the park at the end of that street. ) Or ask where the cafe is: it's right opposite the park. Cross the park heading towards the water and Moonfest is down on the beach... there's paths and steps down the hill.

See you there!

How huge was moonfest this month!! I've never seen so many people there. So many beautiful people of course *hugs to all*. And how blessed we were to have such a still night! I've never seen moonfest that still either - no fierce winds blowing the flames hither and thither. It made me more inspired to have a firey play than I have been at the last couple of moonfests. I was twirling IN the water though... hehe, getting watery and muddy... I love that balance of water and fire, mmmmmm weavesmiley peace

angelblue <== this is Karen in a Buzz Lightyear suit. It'll have to do till we do get her in one... and Kyle in a dress. (Ry: "are you buzz light year?" "I love your movie" GI JOOOOOOOOE!!!)

I loved getting all grubby doing the scorpion thing too, and chicken's bubbles floating over while we were carving out moons... so cute.... ubblove

Bec hope you can make it to the next one! Of course we sensed your spirit floating and skipping down the hill though
hug

and how amazing was the party afterwards... Ok I'm going to stop with all the rhetorics now. All I can say is, I can't wait till the next full moon in scorpio! That was some dynamic energy ubbrollsmile bounce grouphug

great rule on the firebreathing thing Elke... hats off to you

and please no drinkies guys, even if it is intended to be peaceful sipping.... Elke has the council and locals on good side with the alcohol-free-event agreement, and it's such a blessing that we get to embrace the space. It's great that it's grown in numbers so much but I think peeps forget to respect those little rules from time to time

Yeah I was just watching... then chatting in a stern maternal way to a 'troupe' of foolish girls who lit up a few metres of fire toys and then just dropped them on the grass within inches of people, while they pranced off with the next lot!! mad mad mad2 mad2

And yes, re fire breathing: I asked/told one young lad to please refrain.. then Elke had to go tell another. Two in one night, and there was one tipsy chap the week before doing it... something we better all watch out/take responsiblility for.

Yay for Valura and Arsn coming thrird!!! bounce you guys rock! biggrin Was a lovely little thing that the three world crue put on smile.:*

The last Burliegh Gathering I went to with you lovely ones, Valura, was really nice... :* I felt there was more scence of unity between drummers and twirlers and dancers... and generally a warmer friendly safer feel than I've expirience at previous ones... I thought it was getting better confused ....no?

But yeah Jai!!! Come to moonfest! everyone! Come to moonfest!!! bounce it's so lovely meeting you all!!! hug grouphug hug

And yeah... No fire breathing at moonfest... came to this desission when i relised I cringed every time I saw someone doing it... dreading the day I'd have to ring the ambulance ....which would then in turn make all this lovely beautiful stuff we have going here with moonfest come to an end ubbcrying ... I hope that day never comes! smile Long live moonfest!!! ubblol

......So yeah... please help keep Moonfest a safe and happy all ages event... biggrin

I find most people usually respect the rules if you let them know about them in a friendly peaceful way.... smile .:* peace

Thanks for making that fine Pixie Rule hug
And yeah, I think it does go over a lot better when one is told in a fine Pixie way about the fine pixie rules.

Contact without dance is like sex without wiggling.
A) it does feel as good
B) it does not look as good on film
