i have devoted much thought to the matter, and i have reaced a decision. the highest complement you can recieve is to be told by somebody that they would rather share an ice-cream sundae with you than with anybody else in the world. i hope everybody has somebody to share ice-cream sundaes with. if you don't, have a hug hug if you do, have a hug anyway hug

That's sweet.

In my world it is appreciation.
To tell someone you care about that you truly appreciate them (not something someone does, but a person for all of who they are) means that you recognize that they enhance your life, that they are not taken for granted, that they are loved.
Love can be unhealthy. Respect can be given for the wrong reasons. But appreciation...now that is a compliment.

And I think that I would love to share a sundae with all the people I appreciate! smile

i dunno, i think "i love you" is done too much, it has lost some of its specialness. to often it is said without meaning, because it means different things to different people. but sharing a sundae is something tangible, something really truely fluffy (in a figurative sense, of course, fluffy ice cream would be wierd)

according to certain people around here the word ice-cream has other meanings, are you sure this person wasn't trying to bed you?

As far as sharing ice-cream goes, I think i'd choose someone who doesn't like eating much, as opposed to someone I like wink

When my kids do really good things or say something really sensitive to make others feel good. That is my greatest compliment. To know that they really do listen even when it doesn't seem like they do.

*bounces head off wall*

just remembered the hott irish girl i met on holiday offered my some of her ice cream and we sat there for about 20 mins eating it

We are the music makers, We are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams;
World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams;
We are the movers and shakers of the world for ever, it seems.
