I'm new to this site and fairly new to poi...but it feels like the first day of summer, I've been out on the lawn outside my uni having a spin, and got my first proper round of applause so I'm feeling quite chuffed with myself!
Just a quick introduction, I'm in my third year of pharmacology (ugh!) at King's in London (also ugh!) but home is in beautiful sunny cornwall. I only recently started poi, mainly from the influence of my boyfriend who's really a contact juggler but does poi, staff etc too. Have been properly getting into the psytrance free party scene in london which inspired me to buy some glo-poi recently...lots of fun!
Music wise...i like quite an eclectic mix really. Psytrance is making a bigger and bigger impression on me, but I guess I'm a rock girl at heart...everything from Pink Floyd (probably my favourite band ever!), the beatles, Jethro Tull (blame the parents!) Gomez, Ocean Colour Scene, Kula Shaker...the list goes on and on.... More recently have been listening to quite a lot of electronica... future sound of london, played...you name it!
So thats a bit of a snippet of me...and now i'm going for a pint in a sunny beer garden. Wishing you all lots of sunshine happiness...bring on summer and all that goes with it!

I'm from Cornwall too... But it looks like i'm stuck with London for a while. I have been finding myself humming and singing little summer songs for the last couple of days. I think i'm going to go to the park and play at the weekend - YAY!

I think the many hours spent sun worshipping yesterday paid off... getting up at 7am was a joy this morning, even had a bit of a before brekkie...now thats a good way to start the day!
Off for a cup of tea and a spot of bug watching on the lawn now...
