I had someone add me to their msn list the other day, but i dont know where they are from and they kinda sounded 'iffy'

I asked where they got my addy from, and the first time they would sign out if i asked them.
Tonight i asked more questions and they said they had my addy in their address book.
So i asked where they got it in the first place and they said 'probably the teenspot chatroom'.
I havent the foggiest what that is, and this person has unnerved me, they would say anything about who they were, i naturally assumed they were from here.
But they wanted to know my age, sex and location, straight away.

Ive now deleted them.

Just as a note:
If anyone from here decides to add someone to msn, please, please send an introductory email first, at least then we know who they are and where they are from.

I have always set my MSN so that only people who are in my address book can see me online.

It always pops up and says if someone has added me to their list, and I can reject it if i don't want to be a contact of theirs!

Sounds like you've done the sensible thing by deleting them!

Yeah, could be harmless, but went with my gut reaction.

I always get random people adding me heaps... but I always have to be careful, because since i am on heaps of message boards it is usually one of them addding me... or a friend has given out my email addy without asking me... that annoys me heaps

One of the problems I have when working out who I'm talking to is the constant name-changing, I have to keep checking email addresses and hopeing that I remember who it is.

My msn name makes it fairly obvious that it's me, although maybe I should start posting more often, I might end up adding someone who doesn't recognise me because I've not posted anything they've seen.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Yeah yex, i just found out you have, but this person would NOT tell me anything about themselves, everytime i asked anything about them, theyd sign out, weird, ah well best off deleted anyhoo, thanks for the advice guys, didnt think there was much i could do anyway.
Though id just remind people to send a message with the contact, it saves all this stuff from happening, ta.

my msn name always has Hanz before it, so I am fairly recognisable, it's the name I use 99% of the time... so I should be easy to recognise if you know me...

Oh i get heaps of these. Had one guy found me after typing 'hiccup' ( he had a fetish for them) into google and finding my intro thread. 'Can I ring you?...i find hiccups so sexy' ...or not
Also it seems someone has stolen by internet identity! Keep getting ppl add me saying im on a phone chat website with the name *Aimée* and the devil horn avatar *gasp*
Good job on deleting him. Usually if someone dosn't regognise what 'You from HoP?' means i delete them
