Manchester Spinner’s Meet up and stuff Hi all If you are looking for people to spin poi with in the North west this is the place to be.
For any one new to this sight DON’T READ THE WHOLE THREAD it has been going a long time and contains lots of old information and chat about previous meet ups and organisation stuff just go to the last few posts to find out the most up-to-date information on current events.
First a bit of info the Manchester spinners lot is no professional spinning troop or organised events it is just a group of people who get together to enjoy themselves. The first meet up was organised way beck in September 04 https://delizium.fotopic.net/c291964.html
The crowd has changed a bit from back then but we have kept a few old timers we welcome all along to come and join us for a spin whether you be experienced or a complete beginner we are willing to teach and learn from you.
Their is no set time for the meet ups they are usually organised around when people can make it and how long they can stay.
I will try to update this first post as often as I can with the most up-to-date info on meet ups and club nights that allow spinning but if I'm being a bit lax just find the last few posts foe up-to-date info (like I said before weren’t you paying attention)
To date the standard meets have gone as meet up in Piccadilly gardens at 4pm (nice central point where every one can get to) Then move on down to the Gas Works/CastleField or Plat fields Park depending on the wether till everyone gets to cold/tired/burned then on to the pub
( anybody who doesn’t know where this is it can be arranged for someone to come meet you at the train station or wherever you are coming from .)

We are a nice bunch like that } Accommodation for a night can usually be arranged but you need to sort this well in advance no just turning up expecting somewhere to sleep

And dude - I've just ordered myself a uni. Unfortunately it wont be here for sunday but I will have it in the next couple of weeks
Once I get a bit confident on it you, me and toby will have to go out for some one wheeled fun in manchester (that may be quite a while away at the moment though).

We need to pick a venue - we can do the gasworks if people are more comfortable with it given the weather or we can find a nice sheltered place in castlefield

It was cold and wet, there was only a few of us but, I still got to see just how damn good at staffing Dave has got!
We'll have to have a bit more forward planning for the next one methinks - possibly do castlefield so we can dive into a bar when it rains ;-)

well well well everyone... hope you all had a good new year and oh my god has this new yr blown its way in... i tried to spin last night in the wind and dangerous is not the word.... could barely spin at all good job i didnt light them up.... but anyways next meet can someone let me know where it is... so long as its not on the weekend of the 27/1/07 as i am in london lol which i doubt it will be but still lol

hi had a good new year. yeah when is the next met up going to be.
soz i miss the last the meet up beca its really pissed down with rain n it was very cold to stand round to spin plus the wind was going to make it diffcult.

I also would definately prefer the 28th, as I will be in glasgow on the 21st. And that would be one of the few rare occasions where I could actually make it!
If its on the 21st, then can we have one on the 4th as well, so I can actually come to it.

Please can we have a meet this coming sunday (21st), my boyfriends just split up with me, so I'm not going up to Glasgow this weekend.
