Well hello denizens of the HOP forums! I thought after visiting this site for so many years without introducing myself to the community,it was about time
My name is Kalen Davidson. I am a 22 year old young man, and I currently live in Peterborough Ontario, Canada. I've worked many jobs, and entertained myself with many activities. I have a lust for life, and enjoy everything I do, but above all I love physical performance. Through dance, music, and fire I have pushed myself to feel and express so much. I am originally from Vancouver BC, Canada, where I first began training in martial arts, picked up staff, poi, and began learning to use my body.Ive played the guitar for 3 years, and violin for 2. I have recently found my singing voice and I am investing alot more of my time in music. Above all other instruments of expression, I love the staff. I have been spinning different variations of staff for 9 years, and I'm still learning to love it.
If you had one word to describe how fire make you feel what would it be?
For me it would be passionate. When I'm in the middle of it, my body moving with instinctual momentum, I feel intensly close to this world and I want to push myself harder to get closer, to feel more. Do you feel like that sometimes? Is it simply youthfull angst that evokes such want? Does it fade with time?
To be young is a gift, and I'm gonna make the best of this life. I am making plans to be a professional performer, and all the way fire will be with me.
