So on 9-22-04 my wife goes in for surgery, and as the subject says, I'm scared. She's going in to have some bumps removed from her scalp. The doc said its nothing serious, but still this is my wife, and as strong as I have to be for her (she's twice as worried) inside I'm scared as hell... I know the chance for her is over 95%, doc said so........after he said that people have died from scalp lasserations........I just needed to get that out, and prayers, thoughts during meditation, whatever would be appreciated.........I hate to think what I would have to do with out her!!

You can't avoid pain by fencing yourself from it.
Some times you need the help of others more than anything else
But you have to let them close enough to help......
People want to be needed, I found that out too

hi, my mum had lumps removed from her scalp a few months ago and it was all fine, except she thought that gave her an excuse to be bitchy to me so thats the most you have to worry about, dont worry i am sure it will be fine, good luck and all the best for your wife tomorrow

An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind

Give a man a fish and he'll eat 4 a day hit a man with a brick and you can have all his fish and his wife

Hello
I know I havn't been here much so you don't really know me but I thought I'd put this post anyway.
I understand that you must be really worried, operations are always worrying.
I have had to worry while my kid has had them so I can guess how you must be feeling.
Also i wanted to say that I have had a few ops, some for lumps which needed removing and a recent one where I had 10 teeth out under a general. They only got 9 and a half but that's the NHS for you!
Anyhow the point is that if I was ok in a shoddy British hospital then your wife will surely be fine in a nice American one, I have seen them on TV and they look much better than ours.
Also It is great that you are there for her, even though you are scared. My bloke stroked my head for ages when I was waking up from the last one, it really meant a lot to me that he was there cos he hates hospitals.
I hope (and I am sure) that everything will work out well for you and her.
