Last weekend, we were booked to "street perform" at a local mall. Seeing at the place was outdoors, we managed to get two sets in before it started raining little animals. We packed our stuff up but were asked to wait until our time was up just in case the torrent stopped. No such luck.
However by 11:00 pm, the rains lightened a bit, and I was itching to spin. (Everyone else took to word games and stuff). So I took off and did six sets. 
Ever been sorely tempted to fire-dance in the pouring rain, knowing you still had to drive home and didn't have an extra shirt?
It's a great feeling! Possibly one of the most fun I've had spinning alone. Spun for the sheer joy of doing so. Although some of the after-effects are less than heartwarming.... And aggravated by the accidentally inhaled fumes while performing the last two days.
Now stuck with a dry-wracking cough, and sore throat. Sick and miserable... and ranting. Sorry.
On a plus note, I've made a decision to quit smoking (can't imagine coughing myself to death
...) So here I am, almost 24 hours without a ciggy...:D It's going to be tough... but the journey of a thousand miles always begins with a single step.

barefoot in the rain is the way to go......
hope your cough clears up soon though, and big pat on the back for quitting smoking !

on sunday nite, and again last nite! but i had 2 amazing drummers with me. it wouldn't have mattered what the weather was like, i just couldn't resist the sound of those drums barefoot in the rain is the way to go......
hope your cough clears up soon though, and big pat on the back for quitting smoking !
