hi there,
hey, is there anyone on HOP who is currently or shortly will be living in holland? just moved back home and i havent found the spinning community yet
spinning on my own is fun, but, ya know, i gotsta find some, umm, colleagues (?).. identify yourselves! im lonely

what I did before was just cut thread in both sides of the staff, and then glue a headless bolt in one side.
I don't put a capsule over it, because it gets in the way with contact stuff, and if you make sure the thread is just as long as the bolt, the strength that you cut away will be filled with the bolt anyway. so it will be strong again.
and I don't like the staff to be to heavy in the middle, it works better if the weight (and momentum) is at the ends of the staff.
I will NOT make it out of steel. steel conducts heat too much, it will be aluminium because of that. hockeystick grip tape in the middle, wound with waxed thread, to prevent sliding. big wick.
if more people are interested, then maybe I'll build some DIY staffs: everything prepared, you just need to glue and screw it all together.
maybe I'll get a discount this way when I get the tread cut in a bulk.

From the station, you take bus 6 to hooggraven, or bus 8 to Lunette(n). Then you get out at Tolsteegplantsoen. There you will see the park where we will be spinning. And if were not there, will be inside with Mot.

I've digitalized the video I shoot last friday, it's about 100Mb compressed in wmv.
How shall we handle this ... as I don't have anymore space to host the video (as it's all taken by mine ;-)
Do you guys have this ... or shall we do it middleage-ish .. using snail-mail

I'll be over for a few days in March for my boyfriends birthday and will probably go mad staring at the same four walls in the same coffeehouse quite quickly. Wondered if i couold come and meet some other spinners for the afternoon/evening and relieve my bordem/maddness.
I will be there from the 14th March until the 17th.
I've had a quick flick through the forum - do you have any meets in Amsterdam. I'll be over for a few days in March for my boyfriends birthday and will probably go mad staring at the same four walls in the same coffeehouse quite quickly. Wondered if i couold come and meet some other spinners for the afternoon/evening and relieve my bordem/maddness.

I can host a few vids if you want, 100mb sounds somewhat huge though. How long is it? We can try a few things though. Firstly you could just slap it on a cd and mail it to me probably the fastest
