Finally I've got round to updating my introduction. Thought I might as well since I’ve missed many people and I was once addicted to the “word association game”.

Name : Stuart (aka: Stoo, Tree Hugger peace, Geabus, Skipper)

Age: 27

Sex: boy

From: Sedbury (Nr. Chepstow, England. Have also lived in Sheffield, Birmingham, Buckingham, a cider museum in Dorset, Clovelly (E. Suburb of Sydney Aus) now live in Bath and Yeovil, England.

Occupation: Teacher of Science and ICT, teaching in Bristol Brunel Academy. Have been a School Science Technician, Student Support Staff (working with the pupils who are sent out the classroom and sorting them out), molecular ecologist, population ecologist, conservationist etc.

Hobbies: Horse riding, Juggling arts juggle, climbing, ultimate Frisbee and various others.

Movies: Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Star Wars, Cool Hand Luke, Casablanca, Lord of the Rings (pine for NZ when I watch those films), too many others to recount.

Books: Watership Down, War and Peace, Catch 22, The Dice Man, Lord of the Rings, Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, All the Dune Books, Fear and Loathing in Las Vagas and so many more – these were the ones that changed me.

Music: A few years ago I would have answered Rock and Metal but now its anything I can juggle to.

Colour: green, like my eyes

Food: tiramisu ubbloco!!! Sooo good – had an Italian corner shop that sells fresh tiramisu but my girlfriend makes it for me!!! Chocolate, vegi food. Indian food – brought up on that stuff since my grandparents were brought up out there.

Loves: life

Dislikes: life (double edged sword)

Ambition: to be mediocre at everything – I’ll be able to do everything without the pressure of living up to the accolade of being good!!!

Family details: too big to mention – I could cull them so that I can fit all the details in but that would be wrong.

I’m currently procratinating.

Many hugs hug,

Stoo.

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Hey Beth & Pounce,

Would love to go to Falmouth, but I should be playing a frisbee tournament that weekend.

I've yet to read the Search for the Dice Man - was warned against it.

Think I'm going to Cornwall sometime in Sep so I'll drop you a PM closer to the time Beth to see if you fancy a spin.

Cheers Gidg,

you're into fire fans right? Am currently making some myself - very excited!!! Problem though - how do you keep hold of them? The skeletons I've so far made keep spinning out my hands. Guess I just have to learn to catch them...

Mine actually have circular areas that a finger or fingers fit into. So I always have a finger or two hooked through one of these holes when I'm spinning. If I'm doing any other type of moves all of my fingers are hooked through/around the fan. What kind of skeleton do you have? A stable one or a collapsable one? The collapsable ones are harder to keep hold of when you are trying to do spinning motions. I'm still learning to toss and catch mine, so I've kept to fluid movements and spinning when on fire. I'm practicing a toss right now that I catch 9 times out of 10, no where near good enough to try the trick with fire though.

What style of wick are you going to use? Finger style or a solid wick over the arch?

Hey Dub,

Went to College Green a few weeks ago but the weather has not been too good since. But will be going tomorrow. Yeah, the Dark Crystal is amazing; Brian Froad did us proud with his conceptions there.

Pink - I have the tiramisu - shall I describe it for you wink

Hiya Skpi! Yey for College Green! As dub said they're wicked peeps although some are not there now cuz it's summer and they've left us for better climes frown Garthy & Psi are still around tho I think.

Are you in Bizzole for the Regatta? We'll be on our boat chillin right in the middle of it all and I'll prob be fire spinning around that Brannigans bar/fountain area somewhere cuz that's right where the boat is kept.

I love Bristol, when I'm rich enough I'm gonna move there. I used to be there most weekends and totally fell in love with the place last year visiting my girlf. But I stole her and took her to smelly Telford but we miss it soooo much ubbcrying

Were you at Ashton Court? We met some spinners there but none of them were from HoP.

Yeah Bug - I was at Ashton court with my staff.

Which Regatta, 29th of Aug? I met a fire performer by the name of Mike who has a boat down that way...

Yeah - Bristol's cool and the weather is good right now. Will be juggling at Greville Smyth Park before frisbee training tonight.

Thats weird cuz I'll be on a boat with a guy called Mike but he's not a spinner rolleyes

The Regatta is the biggest one of the year I think, it's next weekend with most things happening on Saturday 31st I think.

I had my staff too, the first time I'd taken the baby out in public. She's very new and still a little shy ubbangel

This Mike was more of a juggler...

May well be at the Big Chill that weekend - if I get my act together and find someone to look after my rabbit, otherwise its the regatta for me.

Were you the guy with the 3 piece aluminium staff; sort of robotic style, or the guy trying some contact staff stuff?
