She didn't ring. Not surprised. Gutted. Don't know why it bothers me, as i know she wouldn't have said anything different. I guess i just wanted to think that is was important to her to talk to me. But i'm learning pretty fast that it isn't, not anymore.

Maybe I am getting over her. It still hurts like hell, but just today I seriously noticed another woman for the first time since she ditched me. And by seriously i mean, not just for the sake of doing it. Maybe i should explain for the benefit of the ladies in the audience. I'm sure the guys will understand.

As a guy, your head is constantly turned by good looking women. Unless you're gay, in which case substitute the word men in that sentence. There are some exceptions to this rule, but they are incredibly rare, and possibly even Stephen Fry.

If you read the diary entries above and on the previous pages, you will see that my mind is always open to the idea of young ladies entering my life, in whatever capacity. But over the last few weeks i've been just kinda going through the motions.

Today I shocked myself by actually being really interested in someone. Totally unexpected, as if the thought appeared in my head from somewhere else. Wierd.

Probably nothing will come of it. But it's a good sign.

Sweet dreams

Got up about 9am as Tamsyn left the house to take Iz to school. Put on a dvd for Rhe to watch and had a quick shower and a spliff. Rang BT to get a pay as you go dial up number so i could get online from Tamsyns computer. It'll cost about 4p a minute, but there ya go.

I've spent the last couple of hours reading "Bridget Jones' Diary" and laughing quite a lot. Something tells me my style as a diarist leaves something to be desired, but sod it, i'm doing this for me, not you. tongue

Have been experiencing strange and conflicting emotions vis-a-vis the whole "girl" situation. Maybe i should really become a monk. It's something i've often thought of, at times not unlike these throughout my life. Just go and work in a monastery, draw water, feed the goats, that sort of thing. Get a bit of peace.

One day eh?

don't tempt me. We just lost our place to stay in Bristol for the Ashton Court Festie so it looks like we can't go there now. Don't know if we could spare the extra hours driving and George can't book Friday off so we wouldn't be able to leave till after 5pm. Nice thought but not practically possible frown

Wednesay 14th July

Just occurred to me that today is Bastille Day, when Frenchies everywhere celebrate the fact that they're all a bunch of rebellious peasants. Good for them I say. smile

Well, another day spent on HoP. Its almost time for me to depart for Falmouth. The weather doesn't look too grand, so if I die, remember that I love you all. Assuming I arrive in one piece, there may well be fire on the beach tonight.

Take care kids.

Gods only know how i got back to Falmouth I'll never know. Riding across Bodmin moor the visibility was so bad i could only just see the road ahead. Kept imagining being run over from behind. Bit scary. I'm sure things are falling off my bike. Not good.

Got back about half 6 and had a well deserved joint. Brad, Bitey girl and another friend came over, and wanted to go to the beach. I was cold to the bone by this point and the weather didn't loko to great, so i started stalling. Secretly i wanted to go to the pub where it is warm and they have cider and music.

The girl I made friends with in the pub (the crazy one, not the elven barmaid) rang when she finished work at around 9, and came over to help me plan my escape to the boozer. We successfully made it, blagging the others that we'd go burning afterwards. Obviously, i then had a few and decided to go home and chill.

I should point out, that although I always want to go burning, sometimes you just don't have the energy to do it justice.

Instead, the others went off, and me and the crazy girl (I shall henceforth call her Rosie, as it's her name) smoked til we couldn't move then passed out.

She had to work at 6am or something ridiculous, so when i woke up this morning she was gone. Had a quick shower and then ducked into college, which is where i now am.

Apparently there's a 50th birthday party here on Saturday night, and we would be welcome to go and perform there for a little bit. Probably won't get paid, but free food and booze is always good.

I'm sure there must something really psychologically wrong with me. I'm falling for someone I don't know! Feels nice though, so i guess it doesn't matter. And it seems to stop me thinking about Mojo.

Happy days to all

Sorry to hear that Vix. Hope you're holding up ok.

Friday 16th July 10.58am

Work yesterday was ok. Managed to persuade my friend Charlie to stick a bit of bamboo from the shop in his car (as i can't transport bamboo on a motorbike smile) and i went round afterwards and collected it from him. A certain young lady (who shall remain in all ways nameless) literally tried to throw herself at me yesterday. Whilst ordinarily that would be a happy, positive experience, I reallly felt wierd. So instead I went to the pub.

Had a few pints and played some pool with my friends. Then wandered into town and got a burger. Chatted briefly to some girl who'd been beaten up by some other girl. Feckin townies. Then went to my friend Steves to have a J and catch up with him.

Got home about half 1ish and watched "Swingers". Made me laugh very very hard. Shortly after it finished, i passed out.

That's it really. Just woke up, showered, had a fag, and stopped into college on the way to work.

This weekend should be pretty cool, it's always good to see HoPpers. Falmouth II is only 3 weeks away now, and i really need to practice!

Groove on kids and kidesses. Bug hugs to all.

Spanner>> You beauty. wink

Vix>> No honey, it's not the one who tried to jump on me. I'm really not interested in her. She's a) not my type and b) pales in comparison to my ex - which is bad. Keep guessing though, i'm sure you'll work it out. biggrin

I'm not going to bother with a diary entry because all i've done is go to work, work, and come back from work. Not vey exciting. College is shut over the weekend though, so i'll have to be HoPless all weekend. (S.W.I.D.T.?)

Feeling kinda down. Still constantly reminded of Mojo, and getting poorer every day. The bank are gonna be so mad at me when they find out how many cheques I've cashed!

Ah well. What can yer do eh?

I'm off to get stoned and keep working on the book that'll make me famous. And thinking about *****. She's so cool.

Laters happy HoPpers.

Ok, so the weekend was like this:

Friday evening (16/7/04)

Went home. Got stoned. Rosie came over. We got stoned. We watched Donnie Darko. Rosie went home. I fell asleep.

Ya see, the problem with not being online is that i can't write an entry for each day on the day. And thus all the finer (and infinitely more interesting) parts of my day become lost in the vortex that is my goldfish memory.

Saturday (17/7/04)

Got up at 8am and went downstairs to make a cup of tea. There was a white package shoved through the letter box, so i pulled it loose and opened it up. It contained a Re-written DVD. I made the aforementioned tea and went back up to my room. I opened the box of the DVD. The instructions on the case directed me to skin up and so i sat there at 8.15 in the morning, drinking tea, smoking a spliff and watching the footage from Falmouth 1. ALL the footage. (Thank you very much Mr Strugz. You beauty. biggrin)

Drove to work. It wasn't so bad to be honest. Usual thing. Finished at 5pm. Drove home.

I then sat for a couple of hours getting even more stoned and watching all 1 hour 21 minutes of Strugz' Falmouth 1 footage. Then, very inspired, i went and played with my staff. It's feckin wicked having video of so many amazingly talented spinners that i can watch again and again. On slow mo. smile

By about half past 7 Josh had arrived (with his staff), and Bird had arrived (with his beamers) and i was fielding phone calls from Beth who'd got lost. Something to do with not being able to understand my impeccable directions. Honestly, the way you lot go on, you'd think i was bad at directing people or something! I rode 200 yards round the corner to get her, Frodo and their two friends.

We sat and chatted for a bit, then moved into the garden to play. It was SO nice having a proper staff to use for a change. Neck rolls etc suddenly become easy! Am starting to understand the fishtail thing, but i need me some more practise to nail it.

We, (Frodo, Beth, Bird, Josh & I) wandered round the corner to go and perform at a 50th birthday party. It transpired that the birthday boy was a school teacher, so the bulk of the party goers were too. Very nice atmosphere too. We were paid in food and beer, damn good food too, steaks on the barbie and these little cheese/red chili things in breadcrumbs that Frodo and I got extremely addicted to.

Eventually, when we couldn't eat any more (the deserts, oh gods the deserts!) and it was dark enough, we started to get organised. In total we had 7 spinners, the 5 already mentioned plus Lizzie and Dave. (Lizzie is the daughter of the guy who's birthday it was, and Dave is the Circus Society president). We lit up and burned for about an hour (it felt like to me, i have no idea in reality how long it was), culminating in Frodo and Josh breathing fire.

And the crowd went: "Whoooo".

We ate and drank some more and then, knackered out from our exertions, headed back to mine. Rosie came over for a smoke, she'd been at some boat party thing. Bird had already buggered orf cos he had to work at the crack of dawn the next day, and Frodo and Beth headed off about 1ish, with Frodo threatening to fall asleep straight away. They took Josh home, and me and rosie smoked and watched Bill Hicks til we fell asleep.

Sunday (18/7/04)

Woke up at about 6am. Rosie was there.

Woke up at about 10am. Noone was there.

Showered, examined my new burns, chuckled, ate some cornflakes and went to work. Worked til 6. I really could tell you more about my days at work, but they are really very very dull. The "interesting" things that happen there are only interested in comparison to the lame stuff that is the norm. Though I did happen to mention that i span fire and two customers took my number cos they're having a party. But that's about it really. My boss seems happier with me anyway, so hopefully i'll get some more hours (and more money!)

Got back to Falmouth and went to the pub to cash a cheque and have a swift half. Went the the apothecary and acquired some weed. Then rode to the boatyard where Rosie's staying. (On a boat). Smoked and chatted for a couple of hours. Tried to poi in an enclosed place and spilt tea on the rug. Touched a cactus and got lots of tiny needles stuck in my hand. Oh what fun we have!

Monday 19th July

Got back from Rosies about half 9, stopping at Spar on the way to buy dinner. Ate veggie grills, sweetcorn and mash potato. Felt good. Food is nice.

Raided my housemates room for dvd's again (well, it's not my fault he's away all summer and the plumbers unlocked his room!) and watched Taxi 2. Quite funny, not as good as the first one. Then i watched three hour long episodes of Jeeves and Wooster. That's feckin hilarious right there.

As it was by this time about half 3, and i was too stoned to see anymore, i went to sleep.

Woke up around 12. It's so nice to have a day off and not have to worry about alarm clocks. Had a spliff or two and watched another J&W. Quality stuff. Showered and headed into college to do this. Rosie just turned up cos she's just finished work, and as it's a nice day, i guess we should go find something interesting to do.

Be happy!
