At some point I should turn this first post into a proper introduction of me but heck, you guys already know me. I initially wanted to have this just be the details on my pending trip to Scotland... which turned out quite lovely... smile

Feel free to post what ya' like... Here's the rest of my original post.

[I didn't quite feel right about posting this in Events and Gatherings since it will almost certainly degrade into conversations, insults, and probably me posting things like "Bluecat, where were you?! I waited for three hours?!?!" Also, it's a little cocky to represent myself as an Event.]

YES!!! It's TRUE all you beautiful people! I'll be in the UK this summer for TWO MONTHS! Start boiling the tea! Prepare your arms for BIG HUGS! Practice saying "I can't believe this guy has been spinning poi for three years and he still sucks that badly" in less offensive ways! (You guys didn't do so good last year.) And BY GOD hide all of the beautiful women!!! heart...

Right now, my summer plans do not (unfortunately) include a trip to EJC. But I could be convinced to make it over to your neck o the woods for a short trip sometime during NYC's stay .... you can't have him all to yourself for the whole summer! Besides, I want to see what you and your peeps are doing with hoops!

How's Holly? My beautiful Molly-poi are a HUGE hit here and I LOVE them to pieces. I might have to copy your design.

No... actually Chicago is WEST. Austrailia is as far east as I can get from myself. Otherwise it becomes west. Or, by your logic, *I* am as far east as I can get from myself. wink

awww man, you just had to get all high school teacher on me and rationalise my humour didn't you?

how long do i have to stand in this corner before i can take the hat off and make another smart-[censored] comment?

well whatever, when the time comes that comment will be in the form of a question:

1. if you go east and keep going, without covering the same ground twice, what's the last place you get to?

tongue

anyhoo, enough student-teacher banter - i thought i'd given that up about ten years ago wink

what i actually came to tell ya was to check out banksy's nyc adventures - he's stepped it up a notch devil

hug ya next week dude biggrin

Yeah, I saw that.

The sadder story is that the museums are so underfunded they're almost barron. So it'd be easy for anyone to do anything malicious.

Actually depends. There are a few places on earth you can't go east. North and South poles being one of them. Or if your standing just west of Coleman's mom. eek

malicious

eek

is that really how the work of an artist like banksy is perceived by the masses?

that saddens me...

i almost went to the science museum for the 50th time this weekend but managed to keep away.

i used to get in free but its free for everyone now!

soon i will visit the british and the natural history museums...

if i see any exhibits by banksy, i will be happy smile

cole. x

p.s. i heard nooyoiksitie is cold but it definitely ain't the north pole.

and if you were standing just west of my mum you wouldn't go anywhere - she'd kick your [censored] for that comment before you could take another step.

my mum is well 'ard biggrin

As in, it hasn't yet, but it would be...

I wasn't calling him malicious. Just pointing out how easy it'd be for someone to actually do malicious stuff. I just saw a show on how many works of art are beign stolen on a daily basis. Stuff just walking out the front door.

i get ya - that's real sad frown

i heard that a lot of stolen high art ends up owned by the big cheeses in the organised crime world.
its where they reckon 'the scream' most likely went.

does that make them art lovers to want to own it that much or art haters because art is often damaged during the theft and can never be shared with the world again?
