Looking for good festivals in Japan ?

Good morning,
I am thinking about going to Japan and wondered if anyone of you got some information about festivals in Japan or already has been to one.
Personally I prefer Goa/Trance/Psy Festivals but as long as the atmosphere is good I can enjoy every place !
So anybody can give recommendations for Festivals in Japan ?
Furthermore I want to spin fire over there (obvious) - anybody got experience with the Japanese audience or firearts in Japan in general?

It depends on how long you're going to be here. Japan Fire Festival is going to be held near Tokyo the weekend of September 18. I went and performed last year and it was a lot of fun!
