Posted: did I invent this move or has it existed before?
here's how you do it (you must know the 4 finger 540 deg. to do this):
(spin clockwise) (start with the left hand, but you might need to do the opposite if you're left-handed) 1) instead of starting with your index finger start with the thumb and roll the staff through the fingers to the smallest finger 2) take the staff with the same finger (your pinky) in the other hand and rollit between the finger to your thumb 3) let it roll over your right thumb over to the the left thumb. 4) repeat the previous steps

Posted: You can discover moves but not invent them I'm afraid. You can be pretty sure that almost things have been tried by someone at some stage. All the paths a toy can take already exist in the physical world we live in. Different people find different paths at different times though.
You did discover it for yourself though and good for you, that means you're experimenting and using your initiative.
I live in a world of infinite possibilities.
