Also, the red/yellow icon for the new/old topics does not seem to work for me...

I am going to agree with Nomad on this one, while there are features I like, overall I am not fond of this new change.

The lines gave definition to the posts, especially the thread listings, which all seems to run together now, and will get difficult to read when "raver-ease" kicks back into gear.
The "important" buttons seemed to shrink too much (post topic/reply, search....).

I agree with Peregrine that the forwarding wasn't working for me either.

I am also inclined, like Nomad, to not like the place listings at the bottom, the numbering (I am already identified by being a number waaaaay too much) and such.

I like the UBB listings, but find it tedious to use since it is beneath the reply area. On other boards it is to the left, so this is relatively new to me.

On the good side, I do like the instant message this person function as well as the listing who is on currently, though sometimes I would much rather lurk than be known (no, I don't always open my mouth! )

It is similar enough that getting used to it won't be too hard, however, I feel that the last time improvements were made and the board was upgraded it was far more to the benefit than this time.

However Malcolm, as always, I support your endeavors and applaud your hard work and effort!

Much love

Hmm. This is interesting. It will take some getting used to, but it works. I completely forgot that Malcolm was going to change the BB!

I wonder if you can space things out in
the middle.
Sure would help with all those "technical drawings" that seem to pop up.
I wonder how this rating thing is going to work out. Should be fun for sh!ts and giggles. I'm sure that there are some people out there who aren't terribly fond of me. Oh, well. I'm fair game.
I do kind of like knowing who is on the board. It is really convenient.
Guess it's time to go browse and get used to all this.

And I'm down with Cantus. Having the instant UBB does kind of take the fun out of it, but I guess it will make it more convenient for everyone else. And I was just getting the hang of it. Darn!

DOH! Look at this stupidity. My first daggum post in the new BB and I already manage to post twice. I blame my lazy browser's refresh rate! It's not my fault! LOL!

I guess you still can't draw. Oh, well. Back to the...errmm...drawing board??

You've got a drawing board? Where did you get that from. I'm always the last to know about these things. Took me ages to find where they were giving out the newbie trampolines (haven't seen one of those for a while....) and there was Bendy having his own trumpet and there were lollypops....

spellcheck...lol...that'd be useful, i don't haev it on any board i go to yet tho. ANother board just recently put up the "who's here" list... and if you want to lurk, you can always log out...
I like teh gray background, personally. it's restful on teh eyes. just my $0.02

Good picture that Charles. I especially like the fact that you can't see your face. Unless you actually have a really blurry face. then it's a good likeness....

That's a little nasty there C@ntus, I guess that is a good sign which means you are still not smoking (yay you!).

You can't see my face coz i'm looking upwards and the whole picture had to be brightened coz you couldn't see me at all at first, the fire was too bright...

***Back topic*** these functions are cool, especially the privat emessage thing...

Thanks Malcolm!

O gods of Arrakis! i go camping for a few days, come back and HoP's been revolting.
Before i inflict another horrible pun, me wanna say:
Any little annoyances that the new BB introduces are outweighed by the nice new features.
sure i miss the geographical info beside the names, but now it feels closer when you can tell who's recently been 'round. The star system may not work as there is too much love on these boards to make it a fair indicator
*blushes cheeks*
I wonder if I'll get negative stars
*blushes other cheeks*
It is unbelievable that Malcolm would upgrade this awesome forum while tying the knot! busy Malcolm indeed. I'm happy with whatever you can do for us all, Malcolm - so this upgrade comes as a sweet bit o' news!

Why is it nasty Charles? You mean the star thing? I thought it would be better to have one star than none at all. Some people ill deserving of stars on these boards appear to have several.

Maybe I just have a different outlook on these things than you. I thought one star would cheer you. Nay mind....

I guess i'm being too sensitive C@ntus, but I did interpret that in a negative fashion...

Probably my own state of mind, I'm a little nervous as it's my turn to tie the knot on the 1st of June, and have my birthday and the first day of Honeymoon on the same day (4th of June).

More knot-tying? When are you people going to get tired of this falling in love business?

Seriously though, congrats on whole marrying thing & Happy Birthday for then. please post photos so we can see your face camera-dazzlingly bright for happiness instead of just flames...

Hey Malcolm,

Cam you also add a vertical line between the name/member#/rating column and the text of the message itself?

That'd be cool. Thanks.....

That which you quoted Charles was my attempt at goading you into posting a picture that actually shows your face. It wasn't intended as nasty. You should know by now that I count you amongst my friends and wouldn't be horrible to you.

It's just that you are one of those people who hover on the edge of my field of perception due to the fact that I have no idea what you look like. APB is the same - faceless.

Malcolm,
I just did a search in the forum and found it very difficult because we can no longer search by name of memeber, we have to remember the number ... which in my case is very unlikely to happen since I am quite dumb with figures ...
Is there any way to continue the search with member's name as well ?
