Posted: Hello everyone, sorry for the slack reply but this is the first time I've had time to come into intro's since little Edan arrived.
Thanks for the the play thanks, you're all more than welcome and next year will even betterer I promise! I learnt so much, not just about organising a festie but about myself too, all of which will help enourmously towards it being a success again next year and hopfeully for many years afterwards.
Thanks for all the well wished for the new little man in my life and to George for doing so well during the nine(ish) months leading up to the birth and afterwards. She's made me the happiest man I know
You can see some more pics of him in my Gallery if you have time
So you want details? ok, here goes.
George started getting belly pains in the morning when she woke up, so after a few hours of these we popped into the hospital who confirmed that the "wheels were in motion" as it were and that he was on his way. But because the contractions weren't regular enough they sent us home to get comfy and relax. We were home for a couple more hours and then went back where they realised we'd done probably 60% of the whole labour while we were at home! There were a few minor complications so they sent us to the big hostipal up the road (not far from the PLAY location) becasue they have proper peadeatricians and facilities and what not. They sent George in an ambulance and I had to follow in my car, which is when I realised my new motor can do 120mph but overtaking trucks like they're not moving at all is quite scary so I slowed back down to just under a ton, not worth dying to save a few minutes after all is it!!
I got there and ran around the maze that is Shrewsbury Hostpial until I found the room she was in, and about 1 1/2 hours of intense hand squeezing (and trying to get free goes on the NO2 ) later I was holding my brand new son in my arms crying far more than he was!
He came out happy, he's been pretty happy so far and everything is going well. George is ok and recovered well from the birth and I'm really REALLY enjoying family life and being a father for the first time.
His name is Edan George Huxley which, when you look up all the meanings of the names it translates to...
Fire (Edan) Farmer (George) Green Pasteur Land with Elm Trees (Huxley) My son is a Fire Farmer!
I'll hopfeully see you all at Bristol and we'll have little Edan with us, his first convention aged four weeks, lucky little so and so!
p.s. Yes I think he does have more hair on the top of his head than me but I win when it comes to the sides

Bristol was brilliant and the family had a pretty good time of it all Except for Friday night when it got really cold, too cold for little Edan so George ended up missing the show and I missed the 2nd half but apart from that many good times were had

It's all going swimmingly well thank you, I'm mostly wearing a big smile 'cept for when I'm in work and away from the little man. George is fine, just tired from having to be awake so much to feed him in the nighttime. And Edan is pretty good although he's starting to get Colic now, poor boy
