As there seems to be about a million staffers ont he site who are a million times better than me, I thought my last claim to fame might be my mediocre balloon sculpting skills.

Here's an Alien I designed, about 3.5 feet tall, that featured on a music channel here in NZ just before Xmas...

Alien Trooper with raygun

Now, I better stop wasting time with balloons and do some more staff practice!!!!

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

"i didn't know humans could build such things" *says the big lipped Masai with a bone in his nose*

not a bad creation, keep it out of the sun though; ya know, if you painted it pink and put a wig on it, i'm sure you could sell it to a sex shop ubblol

Pounce...The design itself is quite simple, apart from the ray gun, you could easily learn to make it in a couple of hours...

Dom...A sight on the raygun? That's a great idea! (unfortunately, what looks like the sight is actually the tip of the gun itself, but thnks for the next step in this guys evolution...now what sort of name should I give it when I make it again?

Although, I prefer the woven plane, that's really, really, really cool.

I'll have to spend some time looking at both of those, so I can stea.... er Borrow them like I've done with your two balloon helicopter wink

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

But, the question I hafta ask is, is it a little girl alien or a little boy alien, because I can't quite tell. At least bovril's sculptures make it easy to see:

Bovirl and Flid...

Bovirl, I prefer the plane too, but the plane takes about 3-4 hours to make and this one only takes about an hour (probably less now i've finished the body design).

So, are you interested in a fair trade? biggrin biggrin

You buy and pay for delivery of a Nimbus Trials unicycle, and when I've recieved it and hurt myself jumping off a certain picnic table in a certain park around the corner, I'll have heaps of time to type up and illustrate instructions for the giant alien, spitfire, 4m crocodile, yellow forklift and maybe even tell you how I can now make the 2 balloon helicopter out of one balloon!

(Waits expectantly for his unicycle to arrive)

Flid...Flid...Flid (Shakes his head in shame at his fellow HoP'ers).

Balloons are an artform themselves, made from the blood of a fellow creature of Mother Earth (the rubber tree), so lets treat them with a little more respect please... ubbangel

Then again if you want rude balloons, I can show you the balloon virgin who turns into the mother, the balloon pregant lady, the balloon handcuffs and balloon whip not to mention my now infamous "dickhead hat" (about 7 feet tall on its own).

I would love to have a 7 foot tall baloon hat! I think if I had the skills and baloons, I would make a bunch of them and wear em all the time.

Let's turn those old bridges we crossed into ashes.

It sorta reminds me of a teenage mutant ninja turtle because of the purple looking balloons on its arms and legs ubblol

It also reminds me of one of my friends blow up alien balloons he liked to call Bob. Bob was in my friends backseat buckled in all the time. It was quite humerous driving down the road and people giving us funny looks because of Bob the alien.

Wish I had a pic of Bob, but I lost the my friends webpage address frown

Very neat man beerchug

Hey, balloon flowers and dogs are awesome! It's actually harder to make things out of only a few balloons, you need more control and skill than weaving abig one...

Hehe, I don't think my skills are too great, one of the dogs ended up with one leg and two tails, it was an x-men(animal) dog.
That makes no sense....

Hmm, maybe a nimbus trials unicycle is a bit out of my price range, but how about we have a play with some balloons when I'm in NZ and I'll buy us some drinks. Maybe even biscuits too if you're lucky smile

I had a go at making a helicopter from 1 balloon, but it ends up kind of deformed.
I can however, make a prawn taking a crab from behind. Please don't ask me why that one was thought up, because it'd mean delving deep into the strangeness that is Weasel's mind - he was the one who requested it.

I'm also starting to learn how to flat weave balloons, which is pretty cool but I don't really have much time to practise, since I've taken to decorating as much stuff as I can (mainly trains) with bears and monkeys hanging onto anything I can find that's hangable biggrin

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
