This is a cross thread from another forum but it's interesting to see what peoples answers are.

Mine are churchill, Alexander the II and Ghandi.

Churchhill because he's no pussy and he's clever witty and an awesome orator. Alexander the II because he tried to liberate the lives of the russian people. Even though they weren't ready for it and he got assasinated, he did a very amazing thing, and I guess im just drawn to the tragedy of it.

And ghandi because I think he's contributed more to this world then almost anyone else.

Che Guevara (he was kinda a leader)
Ghandi
A guy called "John Lilburne" who lead a group called the levellers in like the 17th century! He basically layed out the declaration of human rights a few centuries before anyone else thought of them! But then again....I haven't looked into him that much..so he might be a right W*****r who just did one good thing!

Oooh my favourite leader is definately George Bush. With his current policy on arms, ignoring the UN when it suits him, illegally invading foreign countries by using reasons that he won't use for other countries cuz they're not as rich in oil and other natural resources, deliberately increasing polution, ignoring human rights violations, ignoring the Geneva Convention by putting illeal prisoners of war (including children under 14) into Guantanamo Bay cuz it's in a country that doesn't abide by it which makes it ok, generally having no morals, he is unable to answer questions about any issues and above all he looks like a Monkey. Monkey's are ace smile

The most inspirational leader in my life is probably my Mom. ubblove She's so nice, diplomatic, understanding, intelligent and has lots of common sense. She acheives goals and kicks the NHS's completely ineffictient cash driven arse daily!!
As for famous leaders.....probably Ghandi for his inspirational words and teachings. He succeessfully rose against oppression without using any weapons except his mouth...pure genius

also i find Nelson Mandella a good leader, and a better man! i have met him and he is just awe inspiring, you cant be in the same room without being taken by his presence!

i also have some radical thoughs on this thread, but i will keep those in my head, cos they may upset ppl but i know what i mean!

yeah it was a while back, in my younger more attractive days, part of one of those school projects!

he walked in and i host to god did a double take, i was saying all day, u know hes not going to be as massive in real life, they make him look like that, all old and powerful , and open on tv and its all fake!

and wehn he walked in his presence just filled teh room and my jaw hit the floor, and he came along out line shaking hands ok kids, as they told him who they were and how much they liked him, and i just stood there and bowed to him ,and said shanti (means peace in indian) to him and he returned it! OMG did i ever die!

Just because a leader didnt really do good, it doesnt mean that they were not a good leader.

Some of my favorite leaders were some of the most vilanious men in the world. They were good leaders. Gangis Khan for one, he is considerd one of the pioniers of the "poor mans war". He was able to ravage countries with superior armies and totaly disrupt life with not much more than peasants.

Man there are so many good leaders out there how do you choose your favorites.
