im new to the poi scene ive only been twirling for about 2 weeks. I've only actually practiced about 4 times. I'm a little stuck because i can do the basic things now (butterfly, figure 8, the weave, the mexican wave (i think) and some other stuff) but i dont really know where to go to now.
If ya stuck on new tricks to practice check out the poi lessons section on this site. Its very useful with moving pictures and everything!
Good luck and keep spinning
Dont forget to bring a towel

Posted: Hi and welcome to HOP You might want to do a search in the meet others section and look for other spinners in your area. Meeting with other firedancers is always inspiring And also, I can't imagine you 're really stuck after 2 weeks. don't necessarily focus on the technical side... listen to some music and try to flow with it and dance shine on Cassandra

Ah well. HELLOOO. how do you do? Pleased to meet you and all that. Love the name by the way
The thing is to learn to incorporate your tricks into dance and movement as well. Once you learn some turns and transitions you'll find it all begins to flow beautifully. good luck and happy poi-ing
