Hi Gnor! What apparati (hehehe my new made up word) were you playing with (if any?) I was with a big tall dude in glasses, and he had the pretty rainbow LED Poi. We were near the gazebo.
The lady G was teaching us, as well as the group of Koreans (or were they Japanese?)...

Yah...tis I.

I managed to take two of the lovely Koreans to hareport with me and teach some to the Koreans and some to the Japenese at spinning too. Didnt have a chance to pick their brains as I had to run..

You had it sussed! I dont like string poi. But I would like to order some of the much recommended string laces stuff from HOP and see what it is like. I much prefer socks or cone poi. HOP have socks that will show the glo up on the glo stuff or we can make organza baggies for them too.

Yesum we can mess with flags. Remember its not a fine art though, its a mess around with art. Wave the material around in the air and see if it works. Its what I do in shops hey.
I suggest you suss getting some lead weighted curtain cord type weights. I will show you my flags next time I am down and then you can see what I mean. Home craft textiles have half price sale in March if you want to wait till then. Spotlight sell it too I think.

yah. um...remember right arm on top, r goes behind left ear left arm follow, bend forawrd ,unwind, right arm up left arm follow etc.....heeheee ubblol hug hug hug weavesmiley Just wait till I start working on the weave with you. Thats funny hey. hug biggrin

Thanks Gnor! hug hug hug I'm going to keep working on it...as the other half got it, and I didn't- I'm going to get him to help me :-D

I'm going to start looking for curtain weighting too :-) The silk I have I use for veils in bellydance- so it flows beautifully- so I think some creative dyejobs may be in order, and some fancy flags/fans shall be born :-D

Thanks for the welcome Cthulhu :-) Mmmm...tentacley goodness :-)

You're not that far away from me...just about everything in Perth is about half an hour or so away LOL!

For a while there- I drove from Armadale to Freo to Joondalup, then Joondalup to Freo. in one day. So here to Morley is nothing!
