Its secret lies in the lightweight, non-absorbent core. Why does that matter? Because in technical routines, you don’t want your poi to lose weight as they burn. Most fire poi do exactly that — becoming lighter and harder to control. Our Static heads maintain their weight and give you a consistent feel through the burn.

Most Kevlar wicks are made with spun yarn — small fibers tangled together. That makes them highly absorbent but weak under high heat and long use.

Our Static Kevlar uses continuous para-aramid fibers similar to Technora in a dense braid. It delivers superior heat resistance, longer life, and a consistent burn.

Both Technora and Kevlar handle up to 500°C, but our Static braid performs even better than 12mm Technora in burn tests. That’s because it’s not just about the material — it’s about the way it’s built.
