The moonfests are usually huge and full of lovely people having huge fun. Its on my list of things to make it to one day. Brissie and Adelaide have very healthy spinny communities that are pushing the edges of new stuff too I think.
Just bring your flags out at poi meets. Good place to learn new moves for poi and flags. Im making mostly childrtens sets now. Havent made an adult set for a while now.
