Hi, I'm brand spanking new to HOP, never even new it existed until I stumbled upon it recently. Only just starting to get my sea legs as far as the technology thing goes. Just typed poi into a search engine and BAM, Here I am. And right glad I am too. Been spinning for years on and off, started in South Africa and the enthusiasm kinda waned once I got to the UK and refused to leave the warmth of indoors for months. Years later I am regaining my passion and learnig to accept that 26 degrees celcius is warm.
Think Hop is amazing, looking forward to learning and living and loving and growing.

Yeah, he said that he wants a surprise party, which is impossible if he knows about it! So we had one for him this passed weekend, the surprise was that he wasn't home yet!
He's now also said that he could be home any time between now and 4 weeks as thats a surprise...but I think he's neglected to take into account that people make plans and go away for weekends and things...I can just see him turning up and everyone being away. Yes! I will let you know of the defenit plans once they are made, but it looks like a day in the hobbit (either Sunday or Monday) and then who knows what!

Let me know as far in advance when you are arriving, I'll need to show you your tent and have to band you up. so ask the gate to call me on arrival or phone me if you have signal. Prioir warning helpful in case I have to go off site I can leave a note on the gate.

Okey dokey. Will give you a call when I leave Brighton, will probably be about 4ish on the Friday, so I rekon I'll get there around 8ish. Will also give you a call when I get to Wareham.

Sweet that'll be perfect. If you there that time on the friday, marie will hopefully be already down so I can ask her to keep an eye out for you if I'm not around. you'll be cutting it fine for 3 daft monkeys

Right, as far as Sothern lights goes, looks like I can get a lift with Danny! yay! Don't have to deal with stoopid horrible trains! Should be leaving brighton at about 3 or 4 ish on Friday and leaving again late on Sunday, so will let you know when we are close so you can come and let me in! Really friggin excited now! Not long to go!

Yup that Danny. Havent met him in real life yet, but he offered a lift in the SL thread and I accepted. It's really lucky coz I am strapped for cash from moving and stuff and splitting petrol money will be way cheaper than the trains...it means I am able to afford to eat at the festy now!

Well for the first couple of days I'll be in Nigel, thats about 1 hour south of Joburg, then for the next 2 weeks I will be in Balito on teh east coast an=bout 1.5 hours north of Durban, and then back to Nigel again for a few days before I fly back to the UK.
I can't wait! I havent been to SA in years!
