I'm 34 and unfortunatley have only just found POI, which has really ticked me off as it's so addictive. But I guess I still have some good years ahead of me. I've been spinning (if that's the term you poisters use) for about 6 weeks and have fired them up about 4 times (no hair loss yet.....)
Can anyone give me any pointers or recommendations.
I've nailed the 3 beat forward and reverse including turning, I've got the butterfly and overhead butterfly sorted plus a few simple bits as well.
What would you recommend me trying next.
Glad I found this website it looks pretty cool.
BTW I'm from that little Island known as United Kingdom.

I would recommend anywhere but essex.
even though it does have an amusing name.
and contains the word sex.
and the spanish word for "the"
and the german word for "it"

I'm in St Austell, slap bang in the middle (ish) of Cornwall.
Falmouth is cool! You wanna go down on a Tuesday evening, thats when the circus society take over the beach for the night! Lots of lovely peeps!

Falmouth is wicked, but only cuz we made it sooo cool

Your exposure times are slightly too long IMHO.
and Im trying to persuade Vixen to lend me one of her bras so I can wear it when I go shopping. She has not responded.

Now I'm getting a little frightened. men with bra's...... is this an obligatory Poister thing, I know I'm PHAT J but they only wobble a bit.
UCOF cheers for the opinion It's the first time I used the new camera so I'm trying out all the different shutter speeds and ISO's etc

no, i can attest to fact that ado-p is very much male. i've seen the size of his adam's apple.

Patrick, Cheers for asking. yeah it was great went with my good lady "Lisa" and another couple, twas my 1st time but I shall go again.

Does anyone know of any good Poi conventions near the Essex area
