Saturday [continued]

Thom came over, we got shtoned. Went to bed

Sunday

Got up, played with the kids, tidied the house. Got a lift to the train and went back to Falmouth. Spent most of the night playing playstation.

Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday

Got up, ran to college. Worked like a loony for about 3 hours, then went home and plugged into the playstation again. Smoked a lot of dope. Spent Tuesday doing the same. Finally completed Need For Speed 2 on Wednesday. All good. Wednesday evening ate roast pork with Nick then I went out for a drink with my friend Alan and a bunch of others, to celebrate Al's birthday. Then I went for a smoke with my friends Beth and Kate, borrowed a bunch of cd's off them and went home to watch telly with Nick.

Thursday 3rd Feb

Have just realised I have yet another 2000 word essay to do before next friday, and that I can't pay the rent. (again). I think i'm gonna have to sell the motorbike, since i can't afford to insure the thing anyway. Ah well. The money will come in mighty handy. Am going to apply for a visa to India so that I can go out and see mojo in April. She's paying for me to go. How nice is that? I love that girl. biggrin

Oh well, time to get off and do some work I guess. Take it easy all.

Thursday [cont]

Ok, so Brad and Gerald came over early evening, as did Alan. Mucked about for a bit, then went out to the pub with Al and a bunch of others and Brad and Gerald went back to Brads. Whilst in the pub, we sat on the floor, by the table football. One of my friends (Harriet) grabbed one of the pole things that impale the little football men, and slid it really hard. It hit me in the eyebrow, which f*ckin hurt, and made me bleed. I found it quite amusing, especially the look on Harry's face - she looked so guilt-ridden! I went outside and had a spliff, and washed the blood off my eye.

I then bimbled home and Adam and Ollie came over. We sat and smoked and listened to music til about half 6, when they left, and I went to the shop to buy some cereal (Fruit n Fibre, woohoo!)

Popped into college on the way back, partly to do this, but partly to see if the finance office is open. (It isn't)

Will probably go home and sleep in a minute, which means my sleep pattern will be screwed again, but you can't have everything. smile

Thank crunchie it's Friday. Or any other deity that you choose to believe in.

Hmm. Now, what did I do on Friday? I think I sat about playing playstation all night, and then slept all day Saturday.

Saturday 05th February

In an attempt to get time to move faster, so that Mojo will come back quicker, I spent the whole day in bed. Woke up (about 4pm) to a text from my friend Vick inviting me to a party. Got up, showered and dressed, and went into town to sort a) green, b) booze and c) food. Came back home and cooked Chili. Turned heat off from under chili, intending to heat it up once everyone who was coming over had gone.

Brad, Gerald, Alan and Alans gf (who's name I've totally forgotten) came over, as did a few others (popping in and out, ya know wink) and we sat around talking, listening to music, smoking etc til about 9. I decided to reheat the chili, then started playing GTA. BAD MOVE! Predictably, the lovely chili got burnt, (only a little) but it's a cautionary tale against playstations.

About 10 I wandered down into town and went to the party. T'was quite a relaxed affair, lots of sitting/standing around talking, drinking and smoking. Well, actually, not that much smoking. It was really hard giving away joints. Most people seem to have given up! Most bizarre.

Played with my contact ball for a bit, drank some more, chatted to some people I'd never met before, and left about 4am and bimbled home. Lay around (you guessed it) til about 8am then went to sleep.

Sunday 6th

Woke up at 12pm. Made a cup of tea and had a spliff, then lay prone under the covers til about 5pm. Got up and washed, etc. Had some pasta. Found out about yet another party. Went to that one. Similar arrangement as before, but a different location. Found a guitar, and planted myself on a sofa until about 3am, then wandered home to play videogames til the early hours.

Damn I'm so sad. smile

Monday 7th Feb

Woke up about 3ish. Did some work: a report on a seminar presentation I gave a while ago. I couldn't think how to start it, then I just got stoned and wrote it as if I was writing in this - couldn't have been simpler.

Nick and I got a curry in the evening, from a place in Penryn that advertised itself as a "Contemporary" Indian takeaway. I assume that means the food isn't transported through time from the 19th century the way it is at other establishments. Fair play though, the Lamb Balti was pretty damn good. You can never get an NUS discount on deliveries though, which is silly.

Lay about and played Final Fantasy all night.

Tuesday 8th

5am Rang Mojo, just to have a chat as I was awake. She was just heading off to the beach for a swim. Heh. Lucky her. I returned to bed and read and smoked, falling asleep about 12pm.

6.30pm Woke up to my phone ringing, then dying. Hauled myself out of bed and got showered just in time for about 25 million people to descend on me. I dispensed with them and was left with Brad and Gerald, who hung around for a bit, smoking and playing PS2. They left, I ate scrambled eggs, and then I played all night again.

Wednesday 9th

I am still awake. I had to come into college to email that bit of work to my lecturer anyway, so I figured I'd update here before heading home to bed for the day. smile Fairly soon, the beard's gonna have to go, as it's very annoying.

Spread the love.

I keep meaning to update this and not getting the time. Very briefly, I spent last weekend with the kids, made some cakes and biscuits and stuff. My dad came down Sunday and took them out for a bit.

College started again on Monday, and I'm working like a dog.

Had a burn on the beach - the first one of the year. Was pretty good, developed a bit of new staff stuff and singed my hair a couple of times.

Just been appointed joint editor of the college news website for the coming semester. This is good, but means i have LOTS of work to do.

Thursday 17th March - St Paddy's Day

Woke up about 12pm. Had a cuppa and a smoke, then jumped in the shower and got dressed. Sat and read through some Labour Party policy statements as I'm due to interview the local Labour MP, Ms Candy Atherton at half 4 this avo. I interviewed the Lib Dem candidate yesterday, and the Tory guy last Friday, all part of a larger piece I'm writing on the upcoming election.

The last month or so has been fairly dull, an ongoing round of trying to find work, trying to do college work, and trying to make a living out of thin air (and horticulture.)

I'm glad I shaved the beard off though, it looked silly, and felt bloody horrible. Wierd thing though - my stubble is now a lot darker than it was before. Hmmm. Not sure it's a good thing, but hardly worth worrying about.

Last Tuesday was the last Circus Skills session of this term (we break up tomorrow until the 25th of April!) and it's interesting how the numbers have dwindled. Not that I'm particularly bothered, it's what we expected to happen. The one's who've stuck at it are getting really good, hopefully some of you will meet the new breed of Foulmouth spinner when you get here next week.

Brad got a car, a dark blue VW Polo, and I've been fully exploiting him by getting him to drive me around places. He doesn't seem to mind, it's all good driving practice for him.

I should go, I need to work out some better interview questions.

Take it easy all.

Well, the interview with the Labour MP went ok, although she categorically told me the government was NOT planning a u-turn on cannabis 2 days before they announced that they were thinking of just that. Still, i think there's some good material on there. Should have it all written up by tomorrow.

I didn't mention before, but our half-band played a sort-of-gig last Wednesday, at the Jacob's Ladder. I played acoustic, Adam played electric and Loz sang, with a bit of screamy backing from me. We played three of our new songs, Button Up, Yawn and The Cinematic Blues, all of which are quite cool (in my opinion.) Seemed to go down ok anyway. We're trying to get hold of a drummer that A) has a drum kit, B) isn't in 3 other bands, and C) isn't addicted to Crystal Meth. Not sure about a name yet, but we're working under the name Velcro. Not sure if it'll stick.

I came to Lanson on Friday - train to Bodmin, then lift from Mark the rest of the way - to see the girls. Their chicken pox, which kinda blighted Izzy's 6th birthday, have cleared up, apart from a few little marks that will fall off fairly soon. Spent Saturday going to the park, and cleaning ice cream off their faces. Bought them some easter eggs for next week as well.

Saturday night Simon, Hannah, Lara, Thom and Josh came over. Apparently they have met, through Josh's sister Beth, a certain Mr D.AllStar, lately of Notts, soon to be visiting Falmouth. Funny quite how f*cking small the world is innit?

Today Izzy had a birthday party to go to, so we walked down and dropped her off and then Rhe and I went round to Hannah's house and hung with her and Simon for a bit. Took Rhe to the park for a bit and let her run around while I chatted to Mojo on the phone. I can't wait to get out to India and see her, it's driving me nuts!

This evening Simon and I watched The Negotiator, with Sam Jackson and Kev Spacey. Good movie, bit cheesy, but cool. I've been playing backgammon since, and chatting to poips on MSN about Fal3. Rebooted Tamsyn's PC as well, as it had a virus on it that was preventing anyone from using the net. Problem solved now.

I should go to bed in a minute, I have to be up early to take Iz to school and Rhe to nursery, then tidy this place up and get down to Mark's to get a lift back to Bodmin and on to Falmouth. Got to get a bit of work done, sort out my work experience and get some more wood sorted for the weekend.

Take it easy all, have a good week.

Monday 21st March

I'm back in Falmouth. It's raining. The two Polish girls who are living in our house for the next 3 months have completely tidied everything and moved it all about. Looks nice, but i can't find any of my things!

Am finding it very hard to sleep at night. Feel like there's a little ball of stress sitting in my gut like a hot coal. Am worried about pretty much everything in my life. I can't afford to buy food today, but i got a bottle of milk, and I've got some Fruit n Fibre at home. Mmmm. Fruit n Fibre rules. Speshly now they've put apple in it.

Of course, I am still raising money, but as you can imagine, I'm worried about getting caught doing that too. I just need to get to India, see Mojo, then everything will be ok. I'll stop as soon as i get back. Damn, I'm hopeless, I really am.

Two things: read this book - it's incredible.

Read this - and laugh til it hurts.

Love you all.

Wednesday 23rd March

Yesterday was housemate Nick's birthday. He cooked a massiv spag bol and invited a bunch of people over. We ate, drank, ate some more, drank some more, then went to the pub and drank even more. It was folk night, and the guy who runs it always asks for people to get up and play, so i did a couple of songs for a laugh, and got a free pint. Yay. Nick rang a taxi to take him from the pub to the Spar to get 3 bags full of alcohol, (red wine, white wine, vodka, whiskey, mixers and beer) back to our house to drop it off, and then back to the pub.

Basically, we went home and drank it. Not too sure about the finer points. Or if there were any finer points. Ah well.

All is ready for the weekend, i think. The weather forecast says it's gonna rain on alternate days. Just to be wacky. biggrin
