Well, as my original intro was lost, I guess I get the chance to redo my room!!! Feel free to come on in, just PLEASE take your shoes off at the door! Thank you.
Well here's me (again)...
*NAME- Amanda
*SEX- female
*AGE- 23
*LOCATION- Hmmm... a tricky one! Currently in Durham. I spend my summers in France (miles from civilization), and spring and autumn in Wales (do sheep count as civilization? If so, then a thriving community!)
*FAV. TOYS- at the moment my fire poi, but also my juggling balls, diabolo, my new staff, guitar, mountain bike, and of course my beloved kayak!...too many more to mention!
*TWIRLING SINCE- learned bits of stuff since 2000, but only really got into it this year. I was on crutches for 3wks, after dislocating my knee (ow!), so I spent all the time learning new poi stuff (every cloud has a silver lining eh?).
*OCCUPATION- Outdoor Activity Instructor/ river guide
*HOBBIES- naturally my poi and stuff, but also do lots of kayaking, canoeing, climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, and bits of other sports.
*FAV. PLACE- Specific favourite one is sat on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the gorge where I work in France, with nothing around for miles apart from the wild boar, and watching either the sunset in the distance, or one of the impressive lightning storms we have.
I also love anywhere where I can sit on a mountain or beside a river, hearing nothing but the noises of nature. A BIG reminder of the beauty of it all...
Anyway, thats pretty much me in a nutshell! Feel free to come and chill in my room- its a great place for relaxing and being at one with nature! (and who said i was a hippie?!
). On the plus side, tea and cakes are supplied for free!!! And if i'm feeling generous i may even let Narr in with her weird marmite/chocolate spread mix! euch!Catch you all soon,

Hey pounce- you said your thread was buried! I just dug this one out of the 5th page!
I found it lonely, cold, deserted and crying.
So I took pity on it, brought it back to the 1st page, and put the kettle on... Aahhhh, all's good with the world. And to make it better, tomorrow is my last full day here and then I go to Kent!!!

ya yesterday when i was checking new posts, there were like new posts on 20 threads!! i have my settings set high so i get like 20 or so threads per page, but i even had to go to page 2 to finish reading them all.
i'll take some hot water for my apple cider if you're heating up the kettle! it's mighty cold here!

I managed to put my pics up (i think). They've gone in the photo gallery, but not on the new pictures bit. Is this normal?

oops
ok then i saw your pics. i think what threw me off though is that when you go to the gallery you can click on "see profile for this person" and when i did, it said you were a receptionist in south africa and member number in the 1000s. so i was a tad confused.

Ow, ow, ow, and a touch more ow.
I left the internet last time, and I walked out of the door and my dog ran up to play. As I was walking down the stairs he shot passed my legs and I tripped up.
Roly poly's down the stairs, and into the door at the bottom.
My side hit the door first, and my scar on my hip kinda split open and erupted lots of evil red stuff.
Its held together with steri strips now, but I'm not impressed!

Well, this is it.
I promised myself that I would quit smoking when I got back from kent.
I had my last one when I got off the train on Monday night, and threw away the dregs of my baccy. I'm doing ok so far, and I really want to succeed with this.

i found loads more bruises from the nasty kitchen floor when i got home too! and today is the first day that i can walk properly without a limp! --was so stiff from the sports hall antics...
oh and good luck with quitting smoking - see if you can work on Joe to join you in that while i am away.....

Haha, my bruises have come up very well too- my 3 best are 1 on each knee and 1 on my right elbow. Ouch.
My arms are still stiff from the weekend (I think a mixture of sports hall, fire, and wrestling), but I have my new poi so I don't care!
I'll have words with Joe to join me on the none smoking thing. Day times are easy. Night times are hard, and i'm craving now. I'm so glad I threw away the last of my baccy. Maybe its why i'm in such a cranky mood at the moment. Oh well, anything that has this much of an affect on me really should be given up.
