Well, as my original intro was lost, I guess I get the chance to redo my room!!! Feel free to come on in, just PLEASE take your shoes off at the door! Thank you.
Well here's me (again)...
*NAME- Amanda
*SEX- female
*AGE- 23
*LOCATION- Hmmm... a tricky one! Currently in Durham. I spend my summers in France (miles from civilization), and spring and autumn in Wales (do sheep count as civilization? If so, then a thriving community!)
*FAV. TOYS- at the moment my fire poi, but also my juggling balls, diabolo, my new staff, guitar, mountain bike, and of course my beloved kayak!...too many more to mention!
*TWIRLING SINCE- learned bits of stuff since 2000, but only really got into it this year. I was on crutches for 3wks, after dislocating my knee (ow!), so I spent all the time learning new poi stuff (every cloud has a silver lining eh?).
*OCCUPATION- Outdoor Activity Instructor/ river guide
*HOBBIES- naturally my poi and stuff, but also do lots of kayaking, canoeing, climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, and bits of other sports.
*FAV. PLACE- Specific favourite one is sat on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the gorge where I work in France, with nothing around for miles apart from the wild boar, and watching either the sunset in the distance, or one of the impressive lightning storms we have.
I also love anywhere where I can sit on a mountain or beside a river, hearing nothing but the noises of nature. A BIG reminder of the beauty of it all...
Anyway, thats pretty much me in a nutshell! Feel free to come and chill in my room- its a great place for relaxing and being at one with nature! (and who said i was a hippie?!
). On the plus side, tea and cakes are supplied for free!!! And if i'm feeling generous i may even let Narr in with her weird marmite/chocolate spread mix! euch!Catch you all soon,

Ok, jet lag has beaten me. I've made it through about 30 hrs without sleeping, and I'm finally getting really tired.

Ok, so this is me off on my travels to non-internet places again.
France it is this time, back canoeing in the Ardeche gorge.
Nice, but I'll have limited internet access.
Soooo... I leave my thread and everything in it in charge of Spitfire. Hunny, it's your responsibility to bake cakes, make tea, and roll smokable stuff every once in a while (it's ok, you can get my staff to help

Wow, well, back in the world of computers and the internet!
Hi to everyone I haven't spoken to in a while.
Well, its taken me a rediculous number of hours to get from the middle of nowhere in France back to the States, and I've had about 2 hours sleep in the past 48 hours or so. But France was fun- hot and tiring, but fun.
I guess I'll write more about it tomorrow when I eventually wake up.

Ok, so after about 14 hours of sleep I feel a touch better.
Yeah so France... well my season was a bit shorter than expected in the end, but was still good. The sun shone, and made it over 40C most of the time. The river was running ok. The parties were good (as were the headaches the day after!). I got to do quite a bit of fire spinning, and met some new spinners.
My friends were as beautiful as ever, as were the new friends I made. But... things weren't the same this season, which is partly the reason I left early.
I also didn't like the fact that I shared my tent with nests of wolf spiders (these things don't run away from you when you poke them- they jump at you, and have quite painful bites). So after finding over 30 of them in my tent in just 2 weeks (including 4 in my bed at the same time!
) , I was more than just a bit 
off! 
So anyway thats, very briefly, what I've been up to whilst I've been away.
*Takes a cake out of the oven, and makes cups of tea*

If you use the quick reply option, and make sure "add signature" is checked (it's to the left of the reply text window), then your signature should be there.

I've just been using the 'reply' bit from the post before... HoP's all changed whilst I've been away, and its gonna take me a couple of days to get my head around it again.
