try putting more spins in your weave eg. when your lefthand is on your right handside spin it twice. not hard but the flame is more destinct, now extend other arm and it looks like it orbits. i can do the spins backwards but the extention is not as effective. NOW try it in butterfly, and threading the needle. i am trying behind the back in hope it will lead the way to 5 beat bhb!!!

Hi ya Fwirl,

The key thing, everything you do forward do backward and everything you do left do right.

Then try shortening your poi, get feel for the difference in speed. Move them to your sides, up and under, opposite & spin them together in the center, fwd & bkwd, vertically & horizontally.

This site has oodles of moves I'm still playing with. Do a search you on "poi moves" I'm certain you can find lots of stuff you haven't learned.

Expirement. Also, when you think you've created something new don't be surprised if you search & find someone somewhere has tried it before.

heya lydia!
yay another mate to gab to on the 'net. woot!
MSN isn't my bag cus.. i don't have it
bender@ihug.com.au is me email tho.
perth is big but is hard to smell from here

development of trix in new combinations:
ya can also mix
staff and poi,
poi and sword,
sultanas and bran.

ya should start with moves that are compatible with both the staff and poi disciplines: corkscrew moves, weaves and double figure 8s, breakfast cereals.

turn more!
add more acrobatix!
and not a little bit of comedy.
