You can replace your HoP Flow Master, Expert Contact, or Ultimate Dragon Staff joiner with this unit.
It does not matter what size pipe your staff is made from, as all the internal diameters are the same.
To use the joiner, make sure it is assembled as in the photo.
Now check both pipes have a small locking pin inside.
The pins are what you need to prevent the joiners from going in too far, and for locking the bolt heads so they can rotate, compress the rings which will then expand to grip and pull the pipes together.
Turn each pipe end clockwise to lock it together, like tightening a screw or bolt.
To undo rotate anti-clockwise only until you can pull the ends apart.
So sorry you had to purchase another one.
Keep an eye on your gear, face your equipment, or get a helper to guard it in the public space; I have even had my flow gear stolen from between my feet.
