Hi my name is Thomas. i am from the ca of the usa. I have just started learning how to spin poi. I can do forward 2,3,5,7, beat weaves and turns for the 2 and 3. I can spin buzzsaw, air wraps, hyperloops,spiral wraps and butterflies. I consider myself intermediate to advanced when It comes to rope dart. My favorite book is "Surly your joking MR.Fineman?!" I love soft rock and pop music.

Hey thanks guys. @ ascilith: Here is a great tutorial for 7 beat (at least this is the tutorial i used!)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3YbZONuJpU. The one thing to make sure is that you have your 5 beat down first. I did not know there was a 7 beat, so I spent a bunch of time on my 5 beat. I think that made 7 beat a lot easier, because i got 7 beat within 2 minutes!

Hey refuge crew, what are some moves you are learning right now? Can you spin a 3bt btb. When I first learned it I had it down but I have not tried it in a while and I find it a lot harder. Any suggestions?

OMG! Ask anyone BTB is my enemy!
I am somewhat at a stand still because of it. I just decided to add a hoop into my repertoire to give myself a break from poi frustrations. Have you gotten down the 9 beat yet?
When I get back on my poi I will most likely work on a signature move.

You probably won't I learned it sloppy when I was attempting the 7 beat. I thought I was cool until I found out I was not special. I'll hit you up with a message.

I never bothered with more than 5 beats. Should get those btb at some point actually.

BTB stuff is nice. Opens up some good flow possibilities. Same as under the leg, which I need to work on some more.

LOL I just read my earlier post. "you probably won't" meaning, find a tutorial not get a 9 beat weave. It confused me when I re-read it so I can only imagine what you were thinking.
