Hi to all you twirlers and HoP lovers!

I'm Malcolm's latest addition to the HoP family with my first day of work here at HoP today (Mon 16th Oct 06) and I see lots of fun ahead (as well as a huge learning curve)! I am totally new to poi so I hope I don't make too many dumb comments!

A bit about me then:

George McNeur, male, age... "enough"!

Family: wife Heather, 3 boys 12, 13, & 15.

Location - Christchurch, NZ.

working career: Electronics Engineering - 15yrs RNZAF, 6 yrs in Test/Manufacturing and 6.5 yrs network products R&D.

You can find out a teensy bit more about me/what I've done at these sites:

https://kiwisoldier.150m.com/now.htm#george

https://kiwionice.150m.com/

and my current main interest outside of work and family: https://aotearoakendo.150m.com/

So, looking forward to the journey, and meeting all you guys 'n girls.

cheers

George

hi george! i haven't been in here before, so i thought i'd drop in and say hi!

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

but I've never seen a kitty cat with that much metal in their mouth before...

Bee factory huh... let me think - there's a mussel place on one side, the brewery on the other side, a lunch food shop the other side of the road, the place they make Tandori Palace Indian food next to that, another fishy place next to that, a deer products place not too far away, an airfield runway...

nope, no bees. Unless they're in disguise of course, which if I was manufacturing mad invader bees I might just do (due to the military secrets acts etc). Hmmmm, I wonder how big the market is....

they are all 4 separate anchors, but they don't go to the other side. there's a very small flat disc that is inserted underneath the skin with a receiver that sticks up above the skin for the top disc to screw in to.

they are about 4 weeks old. given the fact i work out 6 days a week (and thus getting them all sweaty), plus the accidental trauma that can occur to your wrist (you'd be surprised how often you bump your wrist!), they aren't as far in the healing process than i think they would be otherwise. but trust me, they are WAY better than they were. i posted a pic in my gallery of the first pic post-piercing (like 2 minutes after the piercing was finished). now that is NOT a pretty picture ubblol
