Hey all,
I'm been lurking around the forums now for a while and have finally decided to come out of hiding and say hello.
My name is Hayley and I am from the Caribbean twin island state of Trinidad and Tobago (I'm on Trinidad).
I've only just started to spin about a month now after looking at pictures of people spinning fire poi for about a year now. I also have a seven year old daughter who is learning poi with me, she is very impatient though and after looking at a piece of COL she wants to do all the moves right away and can't accept that it takes lots of practice to get that good.
I've been having a grand ole time smacking myself about but I am happy to announce that that occurance is becomming more rare as the days go by. Its odd though when I intentionally try to do a new move I suck at it big time, but if I just say to hell with it and move into it out of another move it works out w00t w00t!
Anyway hello to you all, you are all my inspiration and I hope to learn lots looking at your vids and pics.
