Posted: So, one of the many awesome things about my time in NZ was the fire-folk who gather on Victoria park every Tuesday night in fine weather. A bunch guys provide fuel, amped tunes and entertaining chat (for as much money as you can spare) and everyone just rocks up and plays, learns and teaches as they so desire. I really miss it and wish there was something like that here in London. Anybody know of such a thing?? Would be very keen to find out . . .
Posted: Ok so, now I'm on this site I realise I totally missed the point of the intro chat. Oh well, no redeeming myself on that initial blunder I guess so may as well forge ahead and do what I'm appaerntly supposed to (see below) Of course this entry does have the bonus of making it look like someone already does want to talk to me! ha ha, cunning!!

Posted: Heya Bex, welcome to HoP!
in answer to your first post - yes head for the band stand on Clapham Common on a Sunday afternoon/evening. I'm pretty sure folk still gather there.
Failing that, check the events section of the board for stuff going on near you!
My state of mind is not yours to define!
There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
