Hi !
My name is Scott and I am from the States. My hometown is Boise, Idaho which is the third-largest city in the Northwest and is in a valley on the Western Slope of the Rocky Mountains and on the edge of a huge desert called the Great Basin.

I work full-time as a video and TV producer and I've just re-launched my music career playing folk music. My favorite type of food is Mexican and my favorite colors are blue, green and brown.

My favorite toys are my old Toyota pickup, guitars, my mandolin, and all my camping and backpacking gear.

My favorite hobbies are trekking, travelling, and being out in nature.

I don't get to spin fire very often since I live in a place of almost constant fire danger (when we're not buried under snow or monsoonal rain), but I do constantly practice the meditative and martial art of Walking Stick, which is very similar to Staff.

My favorite musician is Gillian Welch, my favorite books are the "Tales of the Otori" trilogy, and my favorite horse is the Appaloosa.

I am training right now to be an animator. My long-term goal is to make animated movies.

I have a website at www.sukotto.org.

Anyway, that's me.
Scott

My state of mind is not yours to define!

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Hi Scott, welcome to HoP!
I'm still waiting for the music on your site to load up, but thought I'd come and say hello in the meantime: hello wave

You don't need fire to spin: have a look in the [Old link] section of the forum, there's some truly inspirational non-fire stuff in there!

everyone's unique except me

Hey everyone -
And Gidg, woo-hoo, also you, another northwesterner! Spring just arrived here in my little corner of the quad and I am so happy! Last night was the first night in months you could actually be walking around at night in shirtsleeves and not be feeling frozen.

That being said, I'm already braced for another week or two of non-stop freezing rain or snow to come down.

Hi -

sukotto? nihongo de hanasurukoto ga dekimasuka?

Er, could you maybe make that last question there a bit more Englishy? I'm afraid you've totally lost me.

sukotto sounds japanese so I guess that's why he told you that!!!

Wow! That actually was my first guess. I ran your sentence a few ways through a Japanese-English translation and it came up with nada translation. I gotta find better translation software.

Sukotto is what some long-ago Japanese friends used to call me and it stuck. I tried learning to speak Japanese in college and just failed terribly in spite of really actually trying.

Thanks for all the wecome words.

As far as specific questions - my favorite bread topping is marinara sauce. When I was in college though I was addicted to Nuttila.

My biggest infuence in the world of animation is Hayao Miyazaki as far as deciding to go for broke and begin dedicating a significent portion of my life to learning the art. Though I'm working to improve my drawing skills as much as I can in my spare time and getting better at it all the time, I'm spending most of my time struggling through 3dStudio Max, Lightwave, and Endorphin.

What about you, Arbitrary?
