Ok i'm wanting to make (what i know as) a fire orb
basically a wick with a wire attached either side and sometimes attatched to rings to make it easier to hold
(dodge ascii depiction below...ignore the dots)

I've tried lookin for old threads but didn't find any so i ask two questions...
1) Are they known as something other than fire orbs (so i could actually find a result) or links to previous threads that'd help?
2) Does/has anyone have/made a set and have any advice to give? such as wire length, type of wire, ways to stop the wire from being seen (i'm not to sure if thats even a problem...i thought wire might reflect light and ruin the illusion...tell me if i'm wrong), wick size, to have a wick core or not? and (depending on core or not) best ways to join the kevlar/core to the wire...
Obviously i have alot of simple ideas but i was just wanting to see what other ideas people have...cause yeh, i saw someone doing orb the other night (Steve i think it was at Gabes UberOz party) and was inspired...
