umm You can stand around on fire with a unique style? Or is the style all in the way you scream? Seriously though, I would definitely not recommend trying to do this stunt self taught, I reckon it's about equivalent to opening up an aeroplane door and trying to teach yourself to skydive! Plus, unless you want to be able to do it just so you can amuse yourself running around the garden on fire, I think you'd be hard put to find work for a 'self taught' pyrotechnic stuntman- insurance alone would be a nightmare!

If you can't afford the schooling for now, why don't you write to some stunt/special effects companies and see what they could do for you by way of voluntary work experience or advice on how to progress with your training? You'd get all the crummy little jobs, no doubt, but I bet you'd pick up a hell of a lot of safety stuff for a start, and having experience, however meagre, on your cv can do wonders later on smile

thats what im tryin i meant a unique style of stunts since im training myself if you know any stunt people i'd be glad to know them so far no stunt men will even e-mail me back let alone help me nor can i find any places to loan money for that type of career os if you have info let me know ill do any thing( stunt training is three weeks ive been studying it for a month and a half not saying that makes me a pro i still need to do it and like i said how do you think the first stuntmen learned how to do stunts

Yes, the first ones taught themselves, but didn't just start setting themselves on fire, years of research, development and experimentation goes into something that dangerous. Stunt work evolved over the years as people developed new techniques and technology became available, new flame retardant materials etc...
