Lone tree on a hill. Do they really exist?

Flid and myself have been having a discussion over the last few months regarding these elusive natural phenomenen. I think that they do. Flid being the eternally cynical one, has stated that he's never seen one and that every image available is false, made up, or just painted.

So, you wonderful HoPpers, do you have any physical evidence of these trees? Photos, locations, descriptions?

Please, prove me right!

Spoiling Christmas for small children since 2003.

There's a lone tree on top of a big hill just by Ban Meow Microwave, about 2 hours drive north of Mae Hong Son in northern Thailand.
But you'll probably just have to take my word for it.

that map isn't nearly high enough definition to show every individual tree in britain.

it has a resolution of about 5m at best i'd say.

plus trees are green and if its surrounded by grass (rule one) it'll be hard to spot anyway wink
