So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

Took the rug to the mechanic's and the guy said the engine was stuffed. Looks like it won't be flying anytime soon shrug Bit of a pity- it's a 3 seater with full luggage capacity. If you stroll to the end of it there's room enough for a refreshment bar even! wink

Yup. Dead horses are pretty common. You see one every fortnight or so. Sometimes if you're lucky, you score a saddle which you can ebay biggrin

You don't usually find a dead cow with a saddle, but at least they're edible..

It's only as interesting as the company smile grouphug

On to more interesting stuff.. scoured the pantry for dinner. Found a tin of country ladle butternut pumpkin soup (yes yes.. I know.. soup in a tin).. And to get rid of that tinned food taste, I added an egg to it, and put it in the microwave.

So happened I put the lid of the plastic container slightly open, but it slipped shut..

Heard the pop, and I kid you not- the splat too.

Ben, you're off pumpkin supply duty. Consider it a happy birthday gesture wink

Pumpkin soup is yummy when you bake the pumpkin in the oven in its skin with seaoning inside then scoop it all out and puree it...mmm....then add cream or cheese followed by chocolate desert..

So you coming to Adelaide wink You have to come to pat Lex chocolate eating wombat

Gah! I know this sounds incredibly impossible, but I think I'm over chocolate for the next couple of days. Been going crazy at the uni labs overnight trying to finalise my 3D animation stuff, and presented it this morning- after stuffing my wombatty self with 400g of rich creamy chocolate.

if anyone's bored.

Then went on til past lunch, then I had to present my drawing portfolio, journal, and final project (only 100% of semester mark presented in a day- no stress..). Excellent news- I got me a 6! biggrin Here's to instant feedback beerchug

Better news. I'm -done- for the semester! Now I can finally sleep.. It's getting late. 3.30 in the afternoon.. Goodnight all ubbangel
