So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

12 hours! eek Slept well? smile

Shoulder's really looking forward to physio tomorrow morning, even if it's at 8.. I think the muscles which are compensating for the injured part are being overworked. Bit achy.

How are the badges going? hug

Puk: Superstar on the guitar?? ubblol Just because I was wandering about the performer's backstage area at QPAC on Saturday, lugging my guitar around, doesn't mean I can play ubblol But was sure nice to have other random actors/dancers/muzos looking at the guitar and assuming I could biggrin

Cantus sure is right.. I've got no clue how to win the lottery- however, I do have a $2 scratchit which won me $3! biggrin Don't know if it's expired though.. haven't claimed it yet..

Lou: Efficacious most hopefully! I'll let you know how it goes.. ubbrollsmile

On the ride to Darren's place I was trying really hard to keep my eyes open, but I just kept drifting off. Was much better after we stopped around Tingalpa for pasties and pies biggrin Mmm.. pastie.. Could so scoff one now.

Gabe, Kyle: Well.. the report.. Sue didn't seem that much different from the UQ physio, other than she had flashier machines, which I'll have to check if UQ has too. Had that electronic pulses thing and some laser stuff too, which sounds a bit more than it actually was. It's hard to say this, but I'm not sure it was worth the $87.80. Her diagnosis was really rushed, she seemed rough not to mention busy treating other people at the same time, and I just got some tape on me; I'm not sure if it's helping.

She said it's a problem with the pectoral muscle which wraps round underneath the shoulder and is pulling the shoulder forward, and said by treating that, she was treating the tear in the tendon. But when she was 'treating' it, it all felt very extraneous- she didn't seem to try to find out more about the injury or range of motion than trying to treat her hasty diagnosis.

That being said, I understand she's a professional, and there's a good chance she knows what she's talking about. I'm just comparing it to what I got at the other physio. I probably would not visit Sue again, even if I could afford it. Thanks though, and while she may not really have been much help to me (I feel) I know she's fixed you (gabe) up before and I'm not trying not to detract from that. Anyway.. will see how it goes. I've got another appointment at UQ this Friday.

Nat: Heya, so you're back in the UK then? Half time break? Is there a second leg to the lemming travels? biggrin

Courts: You do realise that by coming to moonfest you're going to be going crazy trying to make it to future ones too? wink Personal experience ubblol

Kels: Mice don't have very long legs.. do they? Your poor tail must be getting trampled! Any new tales from Eden? ubbangel
