I've heard that New Forest is really nice. Does anyone know of any good camp sites (for caravans and tents) in New Forest? I don't know the area at all but all the places I've looked up on the net are family type places which wouldn't really be suitable for us. If not New Forest somewhere else good thats not miles and miles away from Guildford? confused ubbrollsmile

Although it's illegal to camp in the New Forest without permission it's so big that no one will notice if you hide. And there's nothing like waking up miles from anywhere in some woodland with badgers and deer by the stream outside your tent.

I'd find some out of the way place near Brockenhurst if I were you. Nobody will really care if you camp there - as long as you don't leave any rubbish and you don't burn the place down.

Happy camping.

since when was the New Forest in Nottingham? And even if it were moved there it'd be further away than it already is. I'm guessing you don't study Geography... rolleyes

hiya i LOVE the New Forest, never been camping there; lived close enough for day trips involving driving around the whole day completely lost and finding little villages and areas etc to site around in and enjoy the sun biggrin

try this site it probably has the stuff spanner put in but *shrug*

FOREST HOLIDAYS

and if you fancy being near a beach go to
Lymington

most places there will probably be family orientated but i have friends who go camping there and have a brilliant time, so dont worry about it wink

No camping in Nottingham for me then!!

I think the idea was that my best friend was going to get a caravan to have there for the summer so that whenever we have a spare weekend we can just go down there. Thanks for the suggestions - I'll have a look for at the links and see what happens! juggle
