It's interesting to know everyone's age isn't it? I can't believe how long this thread is!I'm 23 years young, been twirling for 2 and a half of those. All my friends in Brighton are my age. I taught my little cousin to poi and she is only 7 but excellent at it because she does lots of gymnastics so she is the youngest poier I know!

I spin staff/s and two friends of mine are Poi artists.If anyone beteen 16 and 19 in the UK wants to join to form some form of fire-dancing group to perform at various places including concerts like Glastonbury, then send me mail @Apocalypsestorm@hotmail.com

The number of years counted doesn't really relate to intelligence, sense of fun, happiness, maturity...or when you're gonna die. Just be yourself and live each day with gratitude & a sense of fun. Don't judge anyone by their "age" and how you think someone of that "age" should be behaving. Its very healthy to have friends of a broad age range.Peace and Love,Sam

21. amazed. responsible where it counts (had my own place a year now, been away from home for about 4, hold a good job, etc) yet quite the free spirit where it doesnt. i love toys and circus and doing flips in the air, poi is one of the many things i do for fun. i make sure to be stable for guilt free playing.

I am 20. People always say: " i am this or that but i feel like 15... " i think that's wrong! You should grow inside, then you feel okey with your real age. Having fun and kidding is good for everybody ( even you would be 90 years old ), but not being stupid and selfish. I am moving away from home and moving to "big city" and going to university and i am happy to be old and mature enough for that. I have been poi'ing for 10months, but i never want to do it with fire.. Remember that people who doesn't get older are dead people and everybody are one day older today than yesterday. Sorry my bad english i guess...
