Hello.
My name's Ben, i'm guilty of lurking in poi moves and staff moves, and it's my birthday and i'm mildly pissed. So i thought i'd wander in and wave.

Name: Ben

Age: Dunno. not very old though.

Location: Sheffield.

Toys: Staff for a year and a bit and poi for 18 odd months. and meteor for a bit, but i think we lost them. Oh, and bokken.

Other stuff: I can juggle a bit, mills mess my brother called my best trick with three balls. Looks like the movements for a 3bt weave to me. err... what else, staff based martial arts of a chinese persuasion in an exploratory kind of way, and tai chi and aikido in the same kind of 'what, you mean you twist it like this?!' mentality.
And i don't do fire. And i don't really do glowing stuff either... Fire cos i'm scared for my hair, and feel really limited in what i can do, and glow, cos i'm shy and i don't want everyone in the club to see my dodgy planes. And i hate it when people tell me to stop poiing and come to dance. I am dancing, whatever it looks like to them.

Music: Lots of stuff. 60's and 70's rock and psycadielia, sidle past the dire eighties, picks up a bit in the ninties, lots of indie i like, dj shadow, getting into blackalisious and latirix, and also acid techno, dark hard house, evil goa, and others. If you've got that one that sounds like a train, let me know... Post rock too. Godspeed rock slowly.

What else? I'm a programmer. I quite like white russians. i read alot. I watch alot of martial arts movies. I'd like to walk to scotland this summer. err... i've seen every episode of the simpsons up till last week? Running a bit dry here... I'm interested in most stuff, really, but due to a butterfly attention span, usually intensly for a couple of weeks, then just vaugly for a bit, and then after that if i come across something relevant i'll maybe look it up again. Theres lots of stuff get interested in yet, no point doubling up.

Don't get me started on (because i'll bore you to death): religion. politics. err... probably quite a few other things too, if you look interested at the wrong moment.

Ramble ramble.

Happy today (assuming you read this today).

hope your birthday went well!

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

cheers and cheers and cheers*3 and pink is a colour that definatly has its place, which is not on me. Anywhere else it's fine. I'm more of a blue person, veering towards purple.
