Actually, my grandparent's were first cousins...which is why my grandmother was only able to have two full term babies...lost a set of twins and a little girl at three months...premature and lungs not fully developed...my mother and her older sister were the only one's that lived...my Aunt dying of Hodgkin's Disease at the age of 31... and my mother is lucky to be alive...had a rare blood disease as a little girl and then ended up with Polio while she was in the hospital...and almost died...which resulted in stunting her growth on her left side...and being the reason why she was never able to carry a child to term...and in myself and my brother being lucky enough to be adopted by she and my dad...sooooo...

Thing is that back then, communities were small and most of the people living within were related...small farming communities...and it was either that or not get married at all...and they just happened to also fall in love...

Your heart doesn't discriminate...it chooses how it will...it just happens to be that nowadays, we're not as likely to fall in love with a relative because our world is much more open to us than it was to our grandparents and beyond...

Regardless of any of that, I loved my grandparents dearly...and I can still even remember the sound of my Pop's voice...he was my hero...and he died when I was 8...
He taught me to fish...he taught me to hunt...and how to be one hell of a spitfire...so I could care less if he was married to his cousin or not...

He also used to let me smoke the last couple of puffs of his Cheeroot, too...(cherry cigar)...and would tell me not to tell Grandma, cuz she'd get mad at him...

Damn, I'm babbling again... rolleyes

Ooooh...did you hear about Paul Stanley having to bow out of a concert this past weekend...started having heart problems...!!!
I used to be a big Kiss fan, back in the day...and I can't believe that he's actually 55 yrs old...just doesn't seem possible...!!! He's apparently okay, but they said that's the first time Kiss has ever performed as a trio...!!!

Paul gets in trouble regardless...all he has to do is breathe... biggrin

sure why not? I'll certify it (and more!) for you if you like - want an "official GM" letter to attest that you are trouble with a capital "T" (for tanking) and whatever else anyone wants to through into the mix? (lazy, good for nothing hippy e.g.?? - it's got a certain ring to it...)
