Hi everyone,
Just a brief post to introduce myself. I'm female, 23, from Nottingham, UK. Learned to firebreathe a couple of weeks ago, and found this site after stumbling across Pele's moving story about her "season in hell" while searching the web for safety information.... Don't know any other fire-related arts as yet, but I may get 'round to learning more one day.

*grin* Just "em" - actually short for Emma, my full name. But written m because before I was born I was either going to be Emma or Michael, and m is short for both, so I've been called that ever since.....

'ello! i like your name. simple and cute. welcome to our lovely home (quite literally for people like me who basically live on this site! 
) please feel free to poke around here and meet us all. my thread is a lil r-rated just to warn you in advance, but we have lots of fun there! pink will probably be stopping by to ask you your opinions on the color, so just say that you love it and you will have a friend for life. vanize has a beach bar in his thread, narr has a jacuzzi in hers, mand has some cool sporty stuff in hers, valura accepts extra giggles if you have any to spare (she usually gets most of them from me), dyke boy gives out free hugs, lightening gives out medical advice, and regyt will happily whip or spank you if you offer. there's lots more but i will run out of breath if i name off everyone. so just come visit us!

I've just noticed I blatantly lied in my original post. I'm 25, not 23. Wishful thinking, I guess. Scary thing is, I didn't do it intentionally - I just forgot how old I am! It's probably senility rapidly encroaching.....

Yeah, I've seen too many fire breathers who were far too incautious about what they were doing. I stay away from them because I know if I hang out in theor area, it will inevitably fall to me to be the one to take them to the hospital when they #%$k up, even if I don't know them. That's just the way my life is.
Glad to see you are taking Pele's experience to heart. She'll be very glad to hear that as well. She is a great woman. Don't ever hesitate to ask her for advice on fire breathing (or probably anything else) if you need it.

Since I'm likely to be frebreathing at the same places as them (basically at LRP events we all attend) I fear this may be the case here. I'm intending to have stern words with them now I know how dangerous it really is!
She certainly is, if her story is anything to go by. She seems amazingly together after the whole experience....
Thanks - I have questions, currently mostly about getting the right sort of fuel in the UK - I will go and attempt to find an appropriate place to ask them.....
