This is something that has occured to me since me and my friends have started to do a lot of photography, general time delay used is between 2-4 seconds.
you become a ghost, a blurry enigma moving in circles of flame, totally secondary and subservient to the fire, its like you are not using it anymore, it has its own existence and when you play you give up your own image to it.
its how you feel to, lost in the flame, nothing matters when you have fire, nothing can touch you lost in the circles.
an invulnarable man surrounded by fire.

I love it when that happens in photography! Could someone please post an explanation as to exactly how this occurs or why? Thanks for the help!
