I usually lie and say that I juggle fire. I don't. But I say I do to people who I only have a minute for. Like the guy in the store who asks why I smell like kerosine. I usually have a photo for my closer aquaintances... Works for me.

I tell them that they are chains with wicks on the end, that you set fire to and twirl about in pretty patterns I get really annoyed when people ask me if I'm going to 'juggle' fire (pet hate, I guess)...

nice idea's but i find it still ddoesnt quite capure the thing that makes peoples jaw drop when they see it so maby i should carry a pic or my vid cam... and hey whats so bad about juggling?well im going to go out and spin now wiith thistle.. and this timeil take the cam.later. A

A video sounds like a good idea, but why not just show them in the flesh? Much more impressive...There's nothing wrong with juggling, I just don't like it when people see you are a performer and immediately assume you are a juggler. Even after I've patiently explained that it is very different to juggling, people still shout to their mates 'hey, come and look at this girl juggle fire'. Grrrr...Like I said, just a pet hate

when people do that you just have to rember how dim they are.. hey it aint your fault.i used to carry my socks filled with two juggling balls around with me but cos i dont like peforming to people (within reason.... hey im modest) iim not bothered at night with fire but in the middle of town the stares are just too much. thistle... hello i told you i put this post up he he.. no lies!and, and ive run out of things to say so blaaahh. and goodnight

I know what you mean about it being annoying when ppl say you're 'juggling'. I have nothing against juggling (in fact i quite like it) but poi is NOT juggling is it?
