Cone Poi
"I have just picked up poi and I love it! The Cone Poi I believe are perfect for someone just starting because you WILL hit yourself and you WILL get your Poi tangled. I filled my Cone Poi with water baloons which I presume hurts way less(if you can say it hurts at all) than lets say an LED end. and the cloth is very easy to untangle. Compact and durable they stay right in my bag with me :] I would recommend these to anyone beginner or not. -Olivia PA U.S"

Fluffy poi don't hurt! Learning curve through the roof!
"Impressed with their quality and price! It is a slight switch from glowsticks on shoe strings but I can see how I can do a wider range of moves with these. Though they crash more often than the sticks because they have a wider diameter it makes me fine tune my moves so I'll be that much better when I move to flowlights. I thought they were short when they arrived but they were just the right size. Not as heavy as I thought they'd be. I might have problems learning stalls when I get up to them but I can add weight if I need to or just learn to work with these a bit better. I can't rightly say since I'm a beginner. Also the nylon gets in the way when I do butterflies. More fine tuning I guess. I am in love with the color (lava) and in love with the fact that they move so fluidly! The extra weight (more than glowsticks) has my body moving WITH the poi which is exactly what I am looking for. I couldn't be happier about that part! Beginner? GET THESE!"

Prevents bruising and looks nice too!
"These fluffies are very nice looking and will save you from some painful bonks that one can achieve during practice the only thing I'd change would be their weight and size. If they were a little bit smaller and heavier they would be perfect but other than that an awesome product and great for lessening the impact from my chains. I totally recommend these for beginners anyone trying a new trick (or working out a sticky one) and indoor practicing (these have also saved the paint on my walls and ceiling)."

Some of my favorite practice poi
"I first got a pair of cone poi when I wanted to start applying what I'd learned with stretchy socks to something that handled more like fire poi. I like the wide range of colors they come in (good for mismatching sets) and the durable material that lets me use heavier balls than the foxy socks can really handle. Also I prefer spinning with longer poi and the large size is perfect for me (and they wrap comfortably when going short). I do have to say however that my opinion of them has changed over time. They could stand to have a bit more slip to them. The material has a lot of friction and things like air wraps that work for me on practically every other pair of poi I own are much harder on these. I still give them four stars though because they have a good feel to them and I think they have a visual presence that something like Colecord poi lack."

Useful and fun
"It's very useful and fun to use good for static fluorescence (e.g crystals chemicals special cards etc) but not so great for things that move (e.g poi or people). I'd like it to be stronger but this is very cost effective as is."

"I've been using this LED/Cathedral chain set for two months. The leather loops fit comfortably and the chains almost never kink. Even when they tangle I can usually untangle them mid spin and keep going. The fading LED balls look great too! All in all a great first set of poi."

Great for my staff too big for my Mura poi heads
"I love these they fit my staff perfectly. Nice look feel and you can tell the insides will protect clothing and other items from excess fuel residual that may be left over on the wicks. I just wish they also fit my poi heads but they are too long for a proper fit. They still work fine but would be easier to practice with if it fit the Mura heads better. A small size would be helpful for the rolled and 2 inch fire heads. Other than that very nice and I love the yellow ones on the Mistletoe Staff (It looks really awesome together!)"

Feels like poi

Shiny Spinning!
"This is a great set of poi for starting out or just showing off. The LED's are bright and pretty. The poi themselves are almost exactly the same size as tennis balls which is what I was using to practise so getting used to them is really easy. and they are surprisingly soft. The extra 2 packs of battereis is very useful too. The double finger loops on the cord are really soft and comfortable and seem very strong. It took a while to adjust the cords to the right length but that's probably because I'm useless at tying the knot securely :P There's a beasty swivel and connecting link that connects to the poi themselves which is a very nice touch: should be a while before even I manage to break them. Only things I need now are chains and a couple more swivels All in all: I am a very happy spinner with shiny poi now :)"
